Openweb Uncapped Feedback

I do realise that the accounts are just resold, and that openweb only have a small profit margin per account, but they're paying IS for the accounts on our behalf and should therefore make sure that IS fixes the problem in an acceptable time frame. The accounts have been this slow during the week for the whole month bar maybe two days.....

On the weekends and after 6pm it generally works fine... So the basic IS uncapped accounts are actually day-time throttled to 256Kb/s uncapped 4Mb/s accounts... To me its just unacceptable, and the gold account may be much better but that's not the point I was trying to make.

I understand your frustration. I sat with that problem for two months.... but the IS basic uncapped accounts, according to IS, are causing a lot of congestion, hence the slow speed. Therefore there isn't anything that one can actually do. That's exactly why I upgraded to a better account.

Ooh..... the throttling has started!
Hellllloooooooooooooooooo 25KBps :(

Oh, and this is with the OW Gold package. Which means I am now paying 50% more than the guys using the basic uncapped package, but getting the same speeds :(

Its false advertising on IS' part. If they can't maintain a service at an acceptable standard then they shouldn't offer it. Plain and simple. Sad thing is Keoma spends most of his day back and forward resolving issues on a sub standard product!

At least Openweb, unlike certain ISP's out there, do give a hoot about their clients and try and help as best they can!

Yip, getting this too on my OW GOLD 4MB package. Mr Beep? What's going on here?

I was really thinking of moving to open gold from standard mwen uncapped, but I've never had the problems you guys are getting.

Is this on Gold uncapped? and whats better? RS Downloads?

IS standard uncapped account.
been like that all day, which is unusual!!! Seems IS have fixed something. Still shaped during the day, but I don't really mind that at all, as long as SMTP and HTTP fly then I couldn't care.

I take that back.... IS is still s**t!! almost like I'm getting throttled down to 384k download speeds...

It's fooked. I'm trying to download a 641MB software update (OS 10.6.4 is out -- woot), and the estimated time is currently 8hrs. This is a gold uncapped account btw (not that that makes any diff it seems)

Hey Friends,

There is a fault on the Standard Uncapped network with international currently. Engineers are attending. However, the Gold network is Green.

If you are having a problem on your Gold account, please email me: [email protected]

Kind regards

Hi Mr Beep,
Thanks for the update.
Seems that local is also very slow due the way they routing traffic at the moment, can't seem to get above 450Kb/s.
Hmmm hope they fix it soon, guess the upside is that if they don't I have an excuse for not finishing my work!:p
