I'm on GOLD IS and no issues for the last two months except that one friday night when everyone had issues.

Talking about standard uncapped. Most of the people here who are complaining about the increased shaping on IS is on standard because the gold packages are out of our price range.
Just about every time you comment you tell people to just get a gold account -_- Its too expensive so stop trying to sell us something we can't afford.

Now I'm predicting that your going to say that gold isn't that much more expensive so just to clarify that
R360 standard
R450 gold

Thats already quite a bit, and if you compare it to other ISPs its 299 vs 450

My 'GOLD' account is also useless during office hours. Even after 8pm using FNB banking is painful.

@ R899 per month I'm feeling a little aggrieved at my After Hours Uncapped account which is running at 60-70% capacity...

People are complaining about the standard uncapped and uncapped lite products. Neither of which are under openweb's control. They are Internet Solutions products. If you want a good experience, get GOLD. It is currently on special:

Full line speed for downloading after 10 at night and then shaped to ***** after 07:00 in the morning more or less on a 1mb GOLD PLUS account.

Your upload will always work full what ever time of the day it is.

I know that if I want the unshaped, I will have to pay and that's the bottom line. It doesn't matter really who your getting it from as its the same main artery that they are feeding off.

The biggest problem is Telkom.

Frack sakes, I'm not even getting 10kb/s at the moment on NNTP via VB, had full speed less than 30 min ago

International browsing speeds are worse than snail mail. Problem loading pages, ping time-outs, speedtest.net not working via international along with MyBB speedtest.

Tried getting onto the VB backbone, but was told its not available on this promotion
Anyway, What sorta speeds will i expect on the 1024 connection?
Currently get +-100kb/s on telkom and afrihost.
Will i see an improvement?

Dude. You can't compare uncapped to capped unless you are paying 2k for the uncapped account.
