Openweb have now changed my account password for the 5th time with no notification... I find this highly unprofessional, and extremely annoying... .

Eish why though? When they changed my password they gave me a notice email. How come they keep changing it rapid?

I have yet to receive an answer to that... I receive every other email from Openweb, so don't see how the one relating to password changes ALWAYS goes missing. I have specifically asked that this not.be done as I am not always home with access to the router.

Looks like I'll be yet another day without internet because of this.

I too wonder what the answer would be? Are accounts being shared by openweb so there are more than one user on the same account? It's the only reason I can think off and it should surely not be happening.

I got a reply from MrBEEP saying there was a cable break which was causing the "Authentication failed" message.

Had terrible nigthmarish internet last night again. Those on IS accounts, what time does your shaping/throttling let up? I usually see full steam ahead around 10pm - 6am. Is this right?

Does anyone on VB have slower speeds than usual ?

My NNTP speed is currently sitting at 220-260kb/s, last night it was still above 300, but now it appears as if this account of mine lost it's awesome speed that I had a month ago when I first received it. Even yesterday morning this time it was still running 400-420kb/s :(

There's absolutely nothing wrong with that speed in office hours on a shaped account.

At exactly midnight, almost down to the second, my download speeds jumped from ~170KB/s to ~450KB/s. This morning at exactly 7:00, speeds dropped to around 60KB/s. So it seems my shaping schedule is between 7AM and 11:59PM, with those 7 hours completely open. During the "shaped" hours, youtube and such seems to work perfectly fine, as well as Steam, with speeds only really being limited to downloading sites and such, which I'm perfectly fine with, since it means I can use my connection for whatever I want other than nailing the network with downloading.

Yup going at 300 but if i untick the limit on netlimiter it will go full line speed :D.

I did have some issues last night, what i did was reboot the router and change to ssl demon server. Ran like a bomb. :D. If vb is a shaped account i don't notice any shaping in all honesty. NNtp full speed and browsing is always fast. They shape torrents to basically non existant but i don't dig torrents so full unshaped nntp and browsing is the business :D

There is a seacom fault , probably why there is a some speed issues
