openweb website

1024x768 may not be as high as some people use but I wouldn't call it low res. :D
Not all of us have 19" or bigger monitors where you need to use higher resolutions.
In fact 1024x768 is a very common resolution and it could be an issue if OpenWeb aren't primarily aiming at gamers who have the hardware for higher resolutions. Plenty of people still using 15 and 17 inch monitors.

Think it's the font more than the res. See if it looks any better if you go to a lower font size (ctrl + mouse wheel)

Nope - it does nothing because I'm already at minimum font size.
Making the font bigger breaks things badly.

Sorry, dunno what I was thinking...lol...
I'll load up a linux distro later and do some tests.

I can't even connect with openweb local only account even though I know for a fact it isn't capped yet.

I haven't been able to get onto it this morning from around 05h30 and still can't.

EDIT: As I post this, so it works, sorry.

A bit confused about whether it is something from Hetzner or Verizon's side as this morning (around 5am) the Hetzner and Verizon Business websites were down.

Thanks for info Mr Beep

I found this on the Hetzner site:

Cape Town Data Centre Planned Network Upgrade

Cape Town Data Centre Planned Network Upgrade: We will be performing a complete upgrade on our gateway router infrastructure in Cape Town Data Centre 1 (CPT1) on Saturday 25 November between 04h00 and 06h00 AM. There will be intermittent outages during this time with no outage expected to last longer than 45 minutes.

The upgrade will implement an automatic failover to our redundant fibre connection and router as well as connect the redundant link to a separate router on Verizon's side. The change will also improve our ability to handle abusive network traffic (e.g. DOS Attacks).

Please be assured that our engineers are on site and are overseeing the process.

Your Hetzner Team

It seems like something went wrong badly as our main servers are still down .

Network Notice (resolved): Cape Town
The planned upgrade to our network in Cape Town in the early hours of this morning could not be completed and various services were intermittently inaccessible. All network services were fully restored at about noon.

An internal investigation will be conducted. We apologise for the inconvenience.

What does the MSN proxy do anyway? Can you do windows updates through it?
