operation RROD

well got my power brick today, all working nicely and the machine is rather quiet strangely.. MMM but now I have to download the divx codec thing again don't wana play my games, atleast my nxe was saved on the hard drive still there :P busy downloading the new nxe update..

Well looks like the end is here for my RROD nightmare, so from the 28th of May until today 11th August, I now have my replacement unit in a whole and working.

So from me here RROD over and out !!
 
can't believe how they lie to people

they told me today they don't have any stock, waiting for customs to clear the powerbricks.....

another week or so....
 
i also am yet to receive my powerbrick. fuuuck these people and ms, will not spend another cent on anything xb related.
 
lolz i was told they received their stock of powerbricks last week thursday the 6th and that they would send them out from tuesday onwards, that's why i got mine yesterday, coz i've been bitching. atleast i can now stream movies to my xbox again lolz :P, lolz my batteries where like dead dead in my controllers had to like really battle to revive the buggers, but got all working again lolz :P

Don't they want the old power brick back? LOL

I'm using a 203w power brick on a Falcon. I don't see why they changed the power connector on the refurbished models if they are not Jaspers:confused:

tru dat, but alas do they care, so does the 175w and 203w both work on the falcon? coz i know that the fittings are a little different, a pin-like piece in the fitting making the fit impossible..
 
still waiting... people who got their auth numbers LONG after me already got their swopouts. i'm lekker be*** with Powercare.

as it stands now they got their new shipment yesterday (really? oh ok) but it is in DBN at the moment. so they should start shipping consoles this week still. just spoke to them on the phone.

i spoke to John Press regarding this at Microsoft South Africa;

"Freight guys tell me that the ship was due to dock 2 days ago but rough seas prevent them from docking , being in Ballito please look out the window and tell me Im not being lied to ! anyway its a couple of days by road once they dock so assuming they dock in the next day or two we should get them in JHB towards end of week and start despatching early next .."
 
well john press hasn't replied back to me yet, will give him 2morrow, then i'll start again, they said the should be sending out consoles this week, so lets see
 
if u guys are unhappy post ur issues on hellopeter.com and forward it to powercare and microsoft :)
 
spoke to powercare today, they actually called me today, to confirm address details, the ship has docked with the goods, went through customs and on the way to JHB via rail soon, they expect with all delays to start distro next week latest, well we will have to WAIT and see... also they have slightly changed their replacement policy.No longer will you get a diff console than what u had regarding mobo, so if u had a zeph u getting a zeph etc. also if u had a falcon u getting a falcon, same with the rest. Apparently they getting too many complaints regarding it. So atleast u get what u had, pity if u eyeing out a jasper :(
