Opinions - Volvo C30

The answer lies in the June edition of CAR magazine: Cerato Coup.

That's a bit hard for me to believe, andy.

A car needs at least 50% more power before being able to run with a VW - and you've got just under 200kw.

From my experience on this forum, a VW 74kw 1.6 outruns a 141kw RSI ... a 110kw VW PGTI outruns a 169kw T5 .... so a 147kw VW GTI would take a 200+kw car to beat it. The GTI6 you'd be looking at 220kw to keep up ...

;)

Lol Dolby with your theories what's the point of racing!? Everyone should just sit on the bonnet of their cars and hold up a sign with their 0 - 100 times from the latest car magazine.

Dolby did you go to Drag Wars yesterday? Were Volvos allowed? :p
My 1/4 mile time was 14.69 168km! Standard PGti :D

Well done, JK8 ;)

You deserve your own thread ...

He never did - but seriously, he'd take me with times like these. The guys on the ST forum are chuffed when they get a sub 15.

He's got a VW 110kw/220nm and I've only got a Volvo 185kw/400nm ....

Yeah, i was being polite with my question about the times....(i doubted whether the car was std)

So jk? why not just line ur car up with dolby's and get it over with? even have multiple runs to get a true reflection?

...a 135i would a better match for him

I think they need a room more than they need a race. There seems to be a lot of pent up tension.

Well, I need to give credit where it is due ...

Lol, I thought you were serious for a minute there! I've been working hard today so missed all the banter until now! :)

UPDATE: ok....so its going to be a T5...pre-facelift

now, 2008, 2009, 2010 are all available....

2008 R210k, 45k km milage....R-Design....is this a good price?

I paid R260k for 2008 with 40,000km on the clock in November 2009 - and I overpaid by about R20k ... So I think its pretty good!

ok, thanks...so anything between R210-240k is good value for a T5 (2008 model)....what if I mentioned a 2010 T5 Manual, stock standard, 0km on the clock (yes, brand new), pre-facelift....R275 000.

Yea - I decided to pay a premium cause it was loaded (19", Dynaudio, iPod, USB, Xenon, cruise control, auto wipers, anti dazzle mirrors, sunroof, rear armrest, hard load cover etc) - otherwise R220ish.

What does a stock one come with? R Design?

no, stock standard....the T5 is loaded in any event, but no xenons, sunroof, bluetooth, PDC, etc....standard is however 17'' wheels. hard cover, Premium sound with 8 speakers and 6 CD shuttle...(not dynaudio though)....cruise control, auto wipers, usb, ipod, etc...no R-Design either...
