Good day.. I have a problem with something I do not have experience in, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.
I recently got a new client that I support (I have an IT company) and one project is to improve the internet connectivity. The issue is that they are based in a remote farming area, close to Belfast in Mpumalanga.
They currently use a 3G router as their network gateway, but the coverage is edge with one bar of reception. So you can imagine the internet speed on their network.
I investigate a 3G antenna this increased the coverage to about 3 bar's on edge. Which does not really make a big difference.
The most stable option there would be a telkom line, but after various attempts from me and my client telkom just says that there is no plans to upgrade the exchange in that area to support adsl. The exchange only handles telephone lines.
So now I need to know what options there is? There is no iBurst coverage also. We need to have at least a 1mg line. The 3G router will work if there is proper coverage, and there is only coverage in one place in their factory.
Any ideas on what the options are will be appreciated.
Regards
