Got me some Orange PI One.

Specs:

H3 Quad-core Cortex-A7 with H.265/HEVC 4K support for $10. Apparently it runs really hot and software support sucks, but where would the fun be :p Faster than Pi Zero with on-board LAN. OS images available include Android, Debian, Rasbian, Fedora, OpenSuse, Ubuntu with Mate desktop.

Just can't power it up yet as did not get power adapter and USB power cable not arrived yet.

Requires 1.7mm x 4mm power connector :(

Mine stuck at JIMC....ordered the power supply and case as well.

Any feedback? How does it handle 1080p x265 playback?

Thanks
Dying to test this myself, but can't power it up yet. Still waiting for power cable to arrive :(

What's the community support like? Better than Banana Pi, Odroid and the likes?

Obviously RPi's community support is tops, so left with comparing bananas and oranges.

Power cable finally arrived.

Not much luck with Android yet. I see a lot of downloads were removed from Orange PI site (which sucks to be honest).

Anyway tried the ported version of OpenElec.

1080p x265 playback seems OK. Also added heatsink. Does get toasty. Fan recommended.

Thanks!

Heard developer support is lacking for now.
Will give it a miss. Glad to hear playback is fine thou.

Resurrection :D

So my board has been lying around gathering dust for about 2 years.

Since I've been playing with Pi-Hole I thought how could I get Pi-Hole on my Orange PI.
Armbian Buster just released so install and new Pi-Hole up and running :)
