hey guys.long story, just wanderering if anyone known anything about osama bin Laden.

tell me what you think , i think he's been dead for the last 2 years but im not sure he just seemed to dissappear like hitler

Hitler didn't disappear - he committed suicide. Something tels me that if Osama were to commit suicide, it would be a very erm, how do I put this, "public event"...

I think the character of Bin Laden has been rather exaggerated and embellished upon, if any of it is true it is probably a very small percentage.

George is a necessary idiot.
 
Osama has been dead for years. He hasnt released any videos for years and his number 2 guy has been doing all that. Im surprised the US hasnt been asking questions about this, but I suppose its better for their cause if the world thinks he is still alive and a danger to them.

He is alive and kicking. There was a video from him a couple of months ago.
Problem is finding him, he is probably grovelling in a cave in the mountains of pakistan.

The last video with him in it was released in september 2007 but it is widely believed to have been recorded in about 2004. Something to do with the colour/look of his beard and that everything he spoke about was generic and he made no reference to events more recent than 2004.

On the other hand, his number 2 (Ayman al-Zawahiri) constantly releases videos speaking about current events.

Not only current events but future events in which he predicts the destruction of Israel and the USA :rolleyes:

Quite true. Remember, he was one of the ringleaders that America trained to fight off the old USSR when they moved into afghanistan. He existed long before the twin towers incident.

For those who wish to avoid reading dry, dusty history books, do yourself a favour and see the film "Charlie Wilson's War". It's about the hidden american funding of the Afghan resistance, how they trained and equiped the freedom fighters and how they in the end, never told the survivors of what they had done and the children then turned against a counry that helped them because they thought the country just sat idly by while they fought and died.

Biggest load of ****e that flick. It's what the CIA has been doing (and continues to do) to other countries since WW2.
All they did was supply stingers which neutralised the Russian Gunship threat.
The Afghans are the finest tribal fighting force on earth and nobody can beat them in their own back yard- Not the Taliban, US, UK, UN , Russia- Nobody.
The Afghans didn't need US or anyone else's money They had and still have the Opium Poppy which is their license to print money. They needed the Stingers at that time though.

Thats all the point I was trying to get at. Didn't say I agree with the American propaganda in the movie but for forumites who avoid history, it may at least pique their curiosity.

Or else he's the bearded dude with the dishcloth on his head, who rented my garage to live in for a month or two.:D

Obviously he existed, the question is if he still does.

The very bias American media and their propaganda is not to be trusted.

Saudi's are American Allies btw.

Why can't they find Bin Laden?
