Disgusting that she recommended jail for that sword killing. Like you mention, it's terrifying to think she's giving recommendations to a judge.

Wonder if the witness knows their 'bluebox' news system allows bad input and is perhaps open to sql injection?
 
And The Guardian mentioned:

So for me those 6k per month are pathetic and quite strange that OP deposited the 370k from the sale of his car into the Steenkamps lawyer's trust account.

Can't wait for Oscar's book...
 
The things is, Oscar is of some use to society, but more specifically he can help disabled kids.
He has experience in something not many have, so putting him for 8 years in Jail where he can achieve nothing seems like a waste.
Making him scrub floors for so long also a waste.

They need to balance the sentence in such a way that the balance between jail time/and community service.
The thing is you cannot treat him just like another hobo, no one is equal, time to face that reality. He's gonna use up tax payers money in the end so might as well put him to some good use.

RS was also going to start something as well. she would have served a purpose to society as well. or have you forgotten that one.

Many folks are still wanting OP to go to prison for life as if he was found guilty of murder. The problem is that the Court has found him guilty of culpable homicide, not murder, and the sentence must fit the crime.

This can only change IF the verdict is appealed and IF the appeal is successful.

Jeeezuz I don't understand some people. He took a life and needs to serve a debt to society.
He needs to go to jail and society demands it.
 
Why is the sentencing taking so long?

I haven't followed it, can someone sum up what's happening? Will tune in today.

Actually agreeing with you. I understand leading the mitigation arguments regarding correctional supervision and the remorsefulness. But the stuff that Nel is trotting out?

There is a big difference on the taking of a life. Was it done unlawfully, lawfully or negligently/accidently? Not every life taken requires a debt to society to be paid and neither does society demand it.

Of course however OP murdered her and anyone who bothered to watch the trial would see that, except the Judge
 
We live in a violent Country look at the way Taxi owners treat any competition?
If I was you Oscar would be very afraid more so now how many people could easily
pull a gun trigger and pump three or four bullets in this guy. That would be justice in
my book. Shooting Reeva was never an accident, Oscar you being born was.

Sport companies such as Nike have to have a tax break somewhere, Oscar was the answer so yeah, being born was for that reason

Oscar has said many times in his defense that he's paranoid and scared of SA. He needs to be detained from public because he might "not think" and things might "just happen" again.
