Maybe the OP reversed very skew and actually into the other person who had moved like 10cm out of the bay and stopped when she saw him coming, we will have to see the video and photos ourselves to see the truth

Outsurance is the absolute pits. How anyone can be a client of theirs is beyond me.
Good day
The matter was discussed with you at length by our liabilities department as well as our attorneys. Our client is not the cause of the accident and therefore we cannot pay your claim. From the video footage you provided, we note that you were reversing for a distance of approximately 20 metres and relatively fast in order to exit the parking area. It must be noted that there were car guards and children in the parking area when you were reversing. Our client moved out of a parking area in a bakkie and just had her rear wheel out of the parking when the collision occurred. Our client advised that you admitted on the scene that wanted to make a quick getaway as you were in a hurry. We understand your financial loss, however, our client is not the liable party who caused the accident, and we will therefore defend any claim against her that you might make. Regards, Dinky
Oh and then when I quit Outsurance, the retentions department lady told me she had helped someone who actually landed up getting a judgment against him. I was like, lady, that isn't helping!
This indeed, revealing the lawyer speak, fallacious reasoning that has no bearing on the pertinent facts.OP, I'm not aware of the circumstances of the accident, but this response is flaky at best. It doesn't state any facts, only speculation.
"Relatively fast" does not necessarily mean that the OP exceeded the speed limit.
Did the car guards and children in the parking area have any bearing on the cause of the accident?
Is it illegal to reverse for 20 meters?
Nonetheless, like I said before, don't bother dealing with the company. You are not their client so they've got no obligation towards you. Their obligation is towards their client. You need to divert your attention towards their client as they will ultimately be forced to react when you sue their client. If you believe you've got a strong case, then approach the small claims court, or get a lawyer if the damages exceed the 15k limit.
All the best.
Well, obviously they protect their clients... the real suckers are those without insurance/self-insurance that have the means (and if you have DSTV premium or anything above a 2MB ADSL line you have the means).
No they are not. I am embarrassed to admit I once was an Outsurance client. Everything of value in my house that could fit into my two cars (that were also stolen) were taken by burglars. Outsurance claimed I inluded certain items in my claim that were not stolen and had me interrogated by their investigators at their head office, basically as the criminal. Shyte company.
