Where would i be able to download things on my local account.
are there any websites that have alot of things available. can u use limewire pro for local downloads aswell?

where are you guys all getting ur stuff from?

whats all this stuff on newshost or something, how do i get that to work
 
Ok, I'm going to be frank here. All the local places I know of (and I am not claiming to know all that are out there) require an invite to join. By default, a person does not have an invite. In other words no one is invited - until they get given an invite by someone who considers them worthy to receive one.

The news server crowd don't like people joining since this means slower speeds for everyone else; the torrent crowd don't like people joining because they don't want people just leeching and not sharing at least 1:1.

I'm not justifying any of the reasons or situations, that's just how things are!

Remedy? Some of the torrent guys are reasonable, if you search this forum you will see who is involved (I'm not in on local torrents, so don't ask me!) with local torrents. Get yourself active and sharing decently with international torrent communities, and approach one of the reasonable guys and if you can show you understand the whole sharing thing they may consider you. No guarantees, but it's better than a brick wall :)
 
well who is to say i was'nt going to share my things. is there anyway to see what is on this news server. axxess isp says if you have one of their accounts u can use the news server that mirrors giganews, whats that all about?

all i want to do is to download from either the IS or the SAIX new servers. why cant i just see whats on them?

how do i connect this grabit program to the newshost....i'v read pretty much now for like 2 or 3 hours on this thing and all i have got to is downloading grabit. Its frustrating that most people cant help properly with the information they give which they should'nt even bother trying cause all you guys say is use the newshost...wth man thats not helping at all. or you nerds who say go google it... dont you think that most people have tried that in the first place and then came here for help cause they battled to find something on google.

help the people who need help, dont give stupid comments

i have tried. i'v been reading so much my eyes are going fuzzy.. and i still hav'nt even downloaded 1 thing...i got so many tabs on my screen i dont even no where i am in them any more...lol.....

hmm that puts u one up on me. am still having trouble finding a local download :confused:
 
nobody here just wants to say ok here is a place to download somethings, and this is how to do it. bits and pieces are all over the place and people expect you to know which goes where. if there is stuff on this news server all i want to know is how i can look at what is there and to get it..

i tried purring all different things into grabit to try and connect and it keeps saying( socket error host not found)and(connection closed gracefully) man i dont even know what all that means..

and how do you even download something from international through that server without goiung through those spitefull nerds

i guess i understand the concerns raised by these "spitefull nerds" so for now i will just have to use my local 4 forums and podcasts and .... and ... oh ye gona try some local game servers tonight.

Well I can't invite them even if I wanted to. I can only point them in the right direction (plenty of howto's on the web) and the rest would be up to them.
