Paedophile 'disembowelled'

Yes He did for mostly smaller non criminal acts. Same goes for criminal acts I presume when we take matters in our own hands. However under the law, He said we should obey the (reasonable) government.
How do you see the killings in modern wars? Murder? Don't twist the Bible to make you feel better.

I don't condone any killing at all, to be honest. But thanks for the answer.

I'm not twisting any bible.

Wonder if he was conscious and witnessed his innards fall out his body

Ohh i hope so

Karma! I like how it all worked out for him. Not an ounce of sympathy for the pig.

Don't twist the Bible to make you feel better.

What is twisted is changing thou shalt not kill to thou shalt not murder to suit an agenda.

Where exactly does it say turn the other cheek but only for minor offences ?

If you read it in context you should be able to get it. This has to do with the law.

Yeesh, and there I was expecting a simple answer.

Can you try explain it in plain English ?
Tit 3:1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work.

Does it say anywhere in the Bible that the death penalty by the government of the day was condemned by God? Referring to biblical times here..

Brake the law, the law brakes you. Simple. Maybe the world has gone soft, who knows.

How do you decide when a law is unjust?
I'm sure one can figure that out. If SA had a new stating that: married women found guilty of committing adultery are not allowed in public places. If they break this law they'll get a minimum jail sentence of 5 yrs..............uhm??

If you were hinting about the death penalty, would you claim it to be unjust in a modern, developed society like the US. Also since this punishment has been around since the beginning of civilization?

Definitely. Is an educated killer not the same as a barbaric one, if not worse?

Guys paedophilia while definitely disgusting is often something wrong psychologically with that person that is very hard for them to control, think of something like a drug addiction.

Quite often the case, and one doesnt exactly find "Pedo's Anonymous" in the phone book, like one does for drink and drugs.

This guy should have been institutionalised long before this as he had 2 previous counts before him. Clearly some serious psychological issues that should have been a clear indicator of things to come. Yet he was free to roam around until he commited this crime. :wtf:

When he was 13 he was given a formal warning for indecently assaulting a seven-year-old and when he was 15 he was taken to court for threatening to rape a 15-year-old classmate.

The Prison he ended up in is certainly not the best place to end up:

Not what I meant.Somehow the death penalty seems more humane than locking someone up for 30 yrs. They say these ppl become institutionalized which is just another word for dying.

Punishment by death has been around for centuries, it's nothing new. Don't want to die ,don't commit the crime (especially if you're a pedophile it seems). What is difficult here?

I'm sorry, I'm not pretending to know what needs to be done to a person who does such a horrible thing, but I'm just fascinated by how fast people will jump on the kill-wagon. What part of the Thou Shalt Not Kill passage is unclear?

If the punishment must fit the crime. Then by rights, Pedo's should be raped with a 3 foot gum pole. I also think that people get onto the kill wagon too quickly. If Pedo's that rape a young girl should be killed, then what about pedo's that fall under statutory rape of a 15 year old? At what age do we cut off the death penalty? If there is no cut off, then what about someone convicted of being a Pedo but with no rape charge?

If this guy really did rape a young minor. Then I am not against his forced removal from the gene pool in this case, let the criminals take each other out in prison. But the pitchfork and flaming torches brigade running around calling for executions is a little bit worrying.

What about this poor guys family? Did anyone stop to consider what they go through?
