where am i excusing him? we want ot save all the abused kids, we want to give every kid a chance to life no matter how **** their life will be, but then we want to execute a group of people because of things that have damaged their psychological development, and we act like they have a choice when it comes to paedophilia.

they can choose how they control it, but they can't choose to simply get rid of it, i'm pretty sure it's impossible. and WTF would you insinuate i'd want to watch let alone make child pornography? been hit too many times on the head by a bible?

Dude, I don't need help making these types of decisions, it's from your perspective that I find it confusing, as you obsess about what the bible tells you to do, but the second the bible makes a pretty clear statement that anyone would expect to apply to the death penalty all of a sudden it's 'figure it out yourself' and 'obey the laws of the land (as long as they seem just to you personally). Either do what the bible says absolutely, or not at all, if you want to be taken seriously.

If you were hinting about the death penalty, would you claim it to be unjust in a modern, developed society like the US.

I was not hinting about anything in particular, just the wishy washy application of biblical law and the country's laws. I don't consider a country to be particularly modern or developed (in at least one sense) if they put criminals to death, but I don't wish this to be another stupid death penalty debate, I've wasted enough time on that argument too many times already.

Also since this punishment has been around since the beginning of civilization?

Most people jump on the bandwagon when it comes to the condemnation of paedophiles just to show their support for children. While I also care for children I won't do so through irrational and bloodlusting means.

Imagine being put on a pole with a sharpened end (Those poles they use for Lapas) You are brought up to a vertical and you slowly get drilled up your arse and torn open all by gravity. Fark me that must be insane :eek:
 
Horrific. Regardless of what was done nobody deserves to die like that. Heck even livestock doesn't deserve to die like that. It is cruel.

Those poles was not very sharp and were also "greased" at the tip for easier penetration. The man was absolutely horrible.

He said you would be able to figure out when it is wrong... how exactly you would be able to figure out which law is wrong and which is right I don't know because it sounds rather subjective and unreliable to me but meh what do I know I'm a filthy heathen ;)

Where did I say I feel sorry for him? I feel sorry for a society where people revel in others suffering. I could entertain an argument for killing a pedophile for the safety of society but not for the enjoyment of the act of killing. That's the difference between civilisation and savagery. You have to question the motivations of someone who can justify cruelty.

I have to say that I am not really feeling pity for the rapist. It might be wrong to play Judge, jury and executioner but I just can not bring myself to feel pity.
