Good morning all.

I have my sister staying with me for a while on the other side of the house that falls outside the currently programmed "Stay1" zone.

So I've just been manually bypassing the zones every night but as you know this resets after arming once.

Then I noticed there is a Stay2 function that might very well be programmed for exactly this usage already but I can't figure out how the hell to make it work.

Manuals for Paradox systems don't seem to cover this panel and therefore the instructions I've tried don't seem to work.

Also how would I see what is programmed for Stay2 and change it if need be?

Probably just getting the correct model number and the manual for it will answer most of these questions.

Thanks!

Interesting - I havent seen a Stay 2 on my side? Maybe its for Area 1 = Stay 1 and Area 2 = Stay 2

Yeah I'm also trying to figure it out.

Seems like it's relevant for two different partitioning setups as per other manuals I've found.

Apparently it's a Paradox 1689 if Google Images is correct, will read the manual now.

I'm not sure, but I think think 1 and 2 would be the different zones. Like inside and outside... If it has been setup like that.
You don't mention which model u have.

Only figured out the model after posting when asking Google to image search it.

Paradox 1689.

It's apparently related to two partition setup which can either both be on or selectively on/off which is exactly what I want.

But something isn't right here as the Bypass Recall feature doesn't work at all.

Stay2 instructions as per manual also don't work, but that's probably because Partitioning isn't setup at all.

I meant model of the panel not the keypad

Also google for the manual
maybe that will show the steps to make the partitions

Do you have the ip150 module?

I found a manual this morning but didn't even consider the keypad and the board don't necessarily correspond.

Will check what board it is tonight.

Also believe firmly arm1/2 stay1/2 refers to partition 1 and partition 2...

Yup that's definitely the case.

But partitioning seems to be disabled and that's too hardcore for me to sort out and not about to pay someone for this.

Will just live with the manual bypass.

It's easy to do when you know how... I don't either. Whenever you get the alarm company to service/repair on the system, get then to program stay/sleep 2 with that configuration for guests perhaps

I need help permanently bypassing a zone on my paradox system ,until i get the zone fixed.

Can someone share the code sequence / programming to bypass zone 5 permanently.

Fedup of manually bypassing it every night

Forgot to add. It's a partitioned system.

Update : all sorted out.

Would be nice if you could post what you did so that people that have the same issue can resolve it as well

I have a similar issue.
If you could share how you managed to permanently bypass the zone, that would be great.

Thanks

You’d need to edit the zone itself and add it to the stay alarm criteria, or if you want it off for everything remove it from triggering.

Forget the term bypass as that won’t help you.

Get the manual and look at how to configure a zone and in there you’ll find the options.

Bring up the current configuration to see what it is now and then figure out what you need to change.

you are going to need the installer code. if you dont have it just bridge the zone with a resistor

This should be a permanent ban.

When I google how to disable a Paradox alarm zone at 3 in the morning because the stupid alarm keeps going off and I come to this page and I see this then it's bloody infuriating.

Then secondly, the people who designed the Paradox alarm systems should take a course on user interface design. I should not have to google anything. I should just be able to ****ing disable a zone.

So if I get this straight, I should download the installer manual to be able to do this? Does anyone have a step by step guide? Bypassing doesn't stick like one would expect to.

I just want to disable zone 17.
