Don't know if I would call the reasoning for the migrants libtard, (sure there is plenty of that, and libtardism is probably the main reason for why the migrants fail to integrate and suck the system dry) but the original reasoning for allowing/inviting them in in the first place is more pragmatic globalism. They are supposed to integrate, from the work force and support the aging population so that they can get pensions because the old people had less children and their children had even less children.

So your framing is slightly incorrect. The migrants is a globalist government created problem, exactly because they are trying to address the aging demographics in a stupid globalist way.

This specific case is probability the most right leaning thing Macron has done. Trying to be more fiscally responsible.

Why? It affects everyone even if you are 20 now you'll be expected to work longer.

I would already be unhappy that there is a government mandated retirement age to begin with. It is a completely stupid concept.

I don't approve of the France way of protesting. Anyone engaged in public violence should probably just be shot. That will also solve the pension problem.

yes its a joke, but if government can just move the age, they can move the age in 40 years time as well

so when the 20 year old is 50, government can decide to move the age to 70

My aunt is Canadian and says things are a lot worse in Canada than people realise. Lots of asinine laws being passed unnoticed that is making life harder for ordinary working class Canadians. Turd-eau is such a woke assclown it's unreal.

I am maybe only slightly wrong but I agree with your last sentence. However, these moron governments can clearly see it is not working but they are not letting up and of course the woke lefty public think mass migration is the best thing ever.

Ideally you should have your own savings as well and not just rely on the government.

Their system works pretty well when there is money in it.

Unfortunately the protestors can't accept the reality that it is unsustainable without major changes.

There doesn't seem to be any viable alternatives to what Macron is doing.
raising taxes - protest.
lowering benefits - protest
more immigrants - protest

I think Macron has made the best choice here. It addresses the "problem" of people living longer and having less kids. They just need to get a savings culture going as well.

I agree generally and don't think he has any other choice except ignoring it for the next president. He could probably kick the can 10 years down the road.

But yeah socialism do work if you have access to other people's money, as soon as that dries up it doesn't work.
