Good day guys

I have a 500GB HD, I partitioned it using XP's formatting option (seperated it into 2 A&B: A is where windows was installed).. and then somehow something happened to my harddrive and so I had to format it etc etc.. but during the installation of XP my partitioned Harddrive did not come up.. (B)

I dont know what is wrong either..

Does anyone have any ideas at all? It's really annoying.. sigh

Thanks

Right click my computer, click manage, open the disk management section. It should show your drive, and the partitions that are on it. If there is one partition filling up the whole drive, then when you formatted you overwrote the second partition. If the second partition exists, it might not have a drive letter mapped to it (right click, map drive letter).

Ok, I sent the email.. I'm on kaisterkai@gmail.com...hope it works..

Also, is there anyway of formatting a harddrive without using some kind of window software... because I just want to format and then reinstall everything, since my harddrive isn't picked up during the format I can't format the WHOLE hard drive..

If you know what I'm talking about

Nope, never got any mail from you. You need to remove the partitions and then format the disk (if I understand you correctly, which I may not :D)

Cool, glad to see you came right. Happy to know that I may have helped - although I don't think I did :D
