@gdiza: Good luck with passing out, I got my drivers at Gallows Hill and it was definitely not a bad experience. I'd advise anyone to go for about 15 solid lessons before they attempt taking the test.

Dunno about Hillstar but I've heard a lot of bad things about Bellville.

If i can give you a tip i would say look at the scoring card they use, that way you know exactly what they will be marking you on. Theres one in that yellow K53 book.

Hi guys,

Sorry to let you all know, but I failed.
I was soooooooooooooo nervous!
I knocked a poll doing the alley docking.

What freaked me out was, as I started, my leg started to shake, and it only got worse.

After, everyone told me to take some rescue remedy or similar.

Anyways, I failed... I didn't even make it outta the yard - I feel like such an idiot.

Worse is, my gf comes back from Germany on Monday and I was so hoping to show her my licence but that won't happen.

I will not be giving up though, but for now, I'm going to sulk and feel sorry for my stupid arse self.

I have another test in Jan (28th I think) and will see how that goes.

TIP from me... take 2/3 tablets of Rescue Remedy before your test.

Anyways **** happens. Good luck with your next exam:)

Sorry to hear that you failed but good on you for not giving up.

If it's any consolation, I failed 5 times before I passed - made it out of the yard every time but failed on technicalities on the road.

Fortunately for me, I have a twin brother, so I just drove on his license for 5 years :D. After that, I went back, took the test, and passed - one time. Having had the driving experience definitely works. Just drive a lot before you take your next test; hopefully it'll instill a sense of confidence as you said yourself that you were very nervous when you took the test.

I've failed twice like this, my leg on the clutch shakes and I screw up. The shaking always just gets worse! It's my own fault I always get too nervous with anything involving passing or failing :(. So I'm taking a long break and then going to re apply for my learners again and hopefully I do it first time. :D

I just got a call from the traffic department, saying I can't do my test on the 28th... they are doing renovations in the yard so my test has been moved up and I have a choice of dates... I choose the latest one I could which is the 22nd.

8am... GREAT !!!!!!!!!

Anyways, going with The Driving Coach this time.
R810 for 6 hours (2x 3 hour packages)
Then R420 on the day to use the car and a 1 hour lesson.

Now I'm nerved again!

Just chill about the test - the coach will help alot!
You just need to get as much driving confidence as possible.

Try and go drive the route that the test will take place.

lol...mine did the same - just nerves...remember to breathe.
Sounds stupid but as soon as you start to stress, you dont breathe.
Just take deep, long breaths and relax...it is not a timed test so you can take all the time in the world.

ummmmm... Kage!

In a perfect world it wouldn't not be timed.

It is timed.

I think you have 20 minutes in the yard.
