I'm running pastel accounting partner v14. worked fine. upgraded to windows 10. stopped working. keeps giving me a runtime 53 error. some .dll file is missing tried to repair the pervasive. same error. uninstalled reinstalled pervasive. same error. its pervasive v10. The IT guy doesn't seem to be able to fix it(says pastel wont work on win 10), and I'm not so clued up on the technical side of pastel. Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks

Had lots of issues with people who upgraded from 7 to windows 10 and Pastel stopped working.
I removed everything and re licensed to get it working.

Right click run compatibly mode(win7) and select run as admin. Sometimes a good enough temp fix.

If I recall correctly there is an updated version of Pervasive to get it working on Win10

Your IT guy doesn't know what he's talking about and it will run on Windows 10. Runtime 53 is a pervasive error - that part is correct.

Your best bet is to start from scratch since you did an upgrade. That is if you have your Pastel (and pervasive) licensing information. Remember to install pervasive as an application and not a service.

Often I have found that a restart does clear that error after a reinstall if it doesn't work right after the installation has been completed.

Also, what version of pervasive are you running?
