Pathetic 8ta Speeds!

Im very disgrunteled with the current speed Im getting from 8ta. I was a big ambassador for their services and I have brilliant speeds in the past. But as of late the speed have droped to such an extent Im thinking of cancelling this service.

Im on the 10Gig package, and in the Centurion region PTA, flippen next to the Telkom building!!!! And I dont use this bundle for downloading purposes. I purely play Diablo 3 online and this is where I use to gauge my speeds. At one point (Last weekend) I needed to download a 1.5 gig update for my Blizzard Launcher and patches and updates for Starcraft2 and since then I swear that 8ta have throttled my connection to something stupid!!!! I currently clock in at between 50kb and 300kb!!!! And no where is the games that I have bought playable anymore.

I can then go and watch a You tube video and I see this thing spikes up like something stupid. only to drop again when I enter the game.

This is really annoying and I would like to get some help to resolve this ASAP!!

Im glad you find it funny, Im not. This Thread is not intended for you. And If you think about it logically, these posts will stop if the problem with this service stop. So, if you dont have anyhting to contribute to assit or resolve my problem, please find another thread to troll.

I know there are more 8ta threads with all their issues and all the lovingly things regarding that, and I have read most of them, funny enough. I wanted to create a seperate threat that a representative can post directly to me, and so that I dont join the peanut gallery to just through stones at 8ta. Im busy rolling a boulder

I will let you know that this imho is more a case of peering.. or whatever you wana call it.. Both the Diablo 3 and league of legends servers are based in EU .. (Europe) and the same issue occurs once i join diablo3. League of legends gets pings of about 210-240 which is normal ,

but diablo has a ping of about 400-450 which has a lot of interference and spike to 800 all the time..

Plz note that when 8ta works properly those pings above mentioned are normal.

50% of the time (evenings 6pm-12pm) the pings above will double with LOL at 400ms and diablo 800ms..

Anyone care to explain why this would be happening?

I gave up...i had technicians come to my house, i've been mailing them (They always come back with "sorry for the late response"), i've tried everything. Complaining to these people aint gona help. I live 500 meters away from the tower...i know what you going through...but as i said, i gave up.

You see, this is the response Im looking for!

Dear lord my friend, if only I had pings of between 400 and 500 I would smile all the way. Im getting pings of betwen 1500 and 4000!!! and Im not exaggerating! I have full signal strenght and all my other, browsing etc activities are perfectly fine!

Give us feedback on that they did and if they fixed the problem. Had the tech guy out today and he could not fix the problem.

We all know 8ta has serious problems, and if they don't want to acknowledge it, they can just check the threads in this forum... I have started a few myself, with absolute proof (ie ping to tower is <80ms, but to the rest of the web is 500ms < 1000ms )

Just keep on pm'ing 8ta.

Thanx, Ill let the people know regarding my handlings with this problem. I appreciate 8ta (on the forum) response and I will not pester him continiously with this problem. I will state as much info as I got to him and let him do what he can. If it gets resolved they will have a happy customer and I will continue to promote their business, if they dont they will have one less customer and will lose hundreds of more potential customers as I will not advise my customers to buy this product anymore. Business is as simple as that.

i noticed this high latency BS to diablo 3 as well .... since that june sat 3 cable maintenance my ping has been 400-450 (when 8ta works) , since this weekend though , pings are going 1200 sometimes jumping to 400 then 700 .... now they fixed the tower at my old house which is too late because we moved to different premises, but i think it wont help at all because other users are still getting the same ping in diablo 3 ... 400 -450 . im on a different tower now and pings are still 400-450 . no difference.

local pings are a breeze.. 60ms / 80ms on bf3

Thank you for your responses. I have neglected to forward you the information as requested as I have experienced a massive improvement since our last conversation, thus I left it there. However, ironically today Iam experiencing a very annoying trait taking place, see below.

(Early this morning)
I can use my 8ta connection to connect to the internet. Considering all the different indications of the speeds , aka ( on the 8ta software it indicates full signal strength, on my windows bar to the right, there is a indication of 3 signal strength for my signal, and once your in the wireless/broadband menu of your computer it indicates 2 bars) i was able to connect on to the internet. Youtube, websites everything seems good and speeds above 1mg per second(Local and International). Now when trying to climb onto a D3 server in Europa ( as this is the servers that our local guys use) Im unable to connect to their servers even though Im able to browse the web. I then switched to my Iburst connection and voila connect like a dream!

Very odd.

I have tried now recently again and everything seems to be working in order. Im curious as to why I can get speeds of above 1mg per second on any other browsing/youtube video but fail to achieve tha same speeds with D3. Your insight/knowledge to educate me would be really appreciated.
