Paying Overdue Fines

it should still show under infringements ,get fines from drivers all over SA and they allways on the system.also go look on the natis system ,some fines dont appear on the pay fine sites certain muni dont make use of them .otherwise if you have the fine details go to the sap sign an admission of guilt and pay it .but you will then probably have a mark against you .

It's not as simple as that. There are 2 things that need to be sorted out, the first is the actual fine itself, which you may or may not want to dispute. The second thing is the warrant of arrest (if any) which is an entirely separate issue and is actually a warrant of arrest for contempt of court for not appearing in court. The OP first needs to establish whether or not there actually is a warrant of arrest out for him. If there isn't, and there is no sign of the fine on the Enatis system, then there is no problem.

What is the actual URL for the enatis system? I checked on online.natis.gov.za, but I don't see a place to look for a fine.

As the OP, this is still what worries me. There is no sign of a fine on e-NATIS or AARTO or anywhere I've tried. But where (apart from at a roadblock) would I determine if there's a warrant out for offences unknown? 🤷‍♂️ I'm certainly not aware of any transgression...

If there is no fine linked to your ID number on Enatis then the fine simply does not exist. A warrant of arrest of contempt of court for a traffic related offence usually results in an administration mark on your Enatis profile preventing you from renewing your vehicle and drivers licenses. So if you've been able to renew these lately then there is probably no warrant of arrest either.

There's the rub. According to the Capitec online renewal service, the e-NATIS renewal site and a couple of other online services I tried, there's an administration mark against my name with the unhelpful legend: "Acknowledgement: Owner has an administration mark: Not to be moved / Mag nie beweeg nie. This transaction is not allowed for a person with this administration mark". Ek weet nie eers wat ek nie mag beweeg nie!

However, the local post office did then issue a new vehicle licence.

It's the "probably no warrant of arrest" that concerns me!

Where do you check this? I see nothing on AARTO and Enatis and I have a case where I was issued a notice next to the road that now just doesn't appear anywhere I search for it.

I'm not sure about AARTO areas like Joburg but in Cape Town you can just go to your local traffic department and they will print out any fines linked to your ID number on the Natis system. Cape Town traffic departments are much more bearable than in other parts of the country though, so this might not be a great option outside of Cape Town.

Yeah my problem is this is in Mossel Bay...and I'm in Cape Town.

That doesn't matter. Natis is a centralised national system, "in theory" it shouldn't matter what traffic department you go to, any traffic department in the country should be able to print out a list of fines linked to your ID number no matter where in the country the fine was issued.

Then I would imagine any of the websites offering the service including the Bank would have accurate data.

So seems I might just be lucky and this thing never got processed, or they are taking their sweet time and I'll just keep checking.

There's also the issue of the collapse of the postal system. Lots of people are being fined and not even aware of it because they never get the fine in the post.

Have you been to the airport at all ,just remember if a fine is issued by SAP it won't reflect on any online portal
 
Here's what you do... find a traffic camera, then speed past it just a little to get a flash, then wait a few weeks and a fine will be issued. Log into your banking website and presto there is your fine, pay your fine and that's it.

Now... if someone comes knocking and says hey you didn't pay a fine from long ago, just tell them you are a decent law abiding citizen who always pays his fines, look I've just paid the last one, my good sir what fine are you talking about?!

This should confuse Sipho and they will leave you alone and you can go about robbing banks.
