PayPal stops WikiLeaks account

haha... Poor Julian AssAngel! Suddenly he realizes that he might have made a dumb move somewhere along the line! :D

Dumb???

More like people are covering their fsck-ups.....

Due to him we have learnt lots about thing that governments try to lock in vaults

Now if a court (any court) had made a judgement that the activities of Wikileaks are illegal, one could understand PayPal's decision. Until then, it is purely big business bowing to political pressure. And for me that is a far worse crime.

This is just another way we seeing governments taking over our rights just cos they feel "compromised". Shame on PayPal and Amazon... This WikiLeaks issue is being masked by governments saying they affected National Security and this is treason.. if finding out information like Iraqi's r being wrongfully detained or that the US will only accept North Korea as a "trustee" is if they hand over their scientists and tech to them... then BULL****! When has being morally corrupt been more important than treason? Take me back to the Tudors or Nazi Era Germany if i must never find out the truth!

I can't wait to read yet another Wiki-leaks article. Captivating stuff...

Paypal, everyDNS, Amazon - who next? Stay tuned, because with several thousand documents leaked and many countries pissed, we're in for a treat.

Absolutely correct. By America's own version, innocent until proven guilty. Amazing how the American's change the rules to suit their requirements. Remember the story about "weapons of mass destruction" as the American's reason for the War in Iraq?

Wait until WikiLeak's publishes the confidential banking data that reportedly shows how underhanded the banking sector is in the U.S (and probably true for banking across the globe. Reports also suggest
WkiLeak's will be publishing damning information on the Russian administration. Brave man that Julian.

Bullies are all the same, whether the USA government or an eight year old school kid.

I'm suspecting, that, while many people may be against wikileak's tactics, they are even more against government cover up and it will be interesting to see whether votes will follow candidates preaching transparancy.

Posting the things doesn't seem illegal (at least without Protection of Infromation Act-type legislation), but leaking it usually is - which is where the "promote other to engage in illegal activity" part comes in.

makes you wonder why the guy didn't just release the whole lot up front.
either he's very clever or very stupid.
or perhaps he's sent a few emails of his own to washington asking for a leerjet, wad of cash and an island somewhere.

I wonder if they are going to attempt to ban the whole internet next ... file sharing stopped when napster got banned, right ?

Is it not treason if he were a citizen of the US? but he's not, so they cannot do anything, there's no evidence that he took those files, and Amazon and paypal have to shut their doors to wikileaks because they are US based companies and would be considered treason if they did help out.

So a neutral country like Switzerland is probably the best place to be right now :P and this guy should see court about his rape charges, rapists scum should face the prison if he is guilty.

The soldier who released them had no right to release them... he stole them on a flashdisk from the pentagon. He was gay and had a gripe with the US military.
The information is considered property of the US government so to be in possession of them is theft, no matter which country you are from.
The Attorney General of the US is still deciding what course to take, but they are waiting first on the Australian Government to see how they proceed (AssAngel is an Australian citizen).

Garyvdh, you are a complete IDIOT !!

So by your logic, if the Gov is in possession of video material of policemen raping your mother or daughter, and refuse to release it, or worse, deny that it even exist to cover their arses, you think that nobody should try to release it to the public, and on top of it, made criminals for doing so. You are pathetic.

Yeah... swallow that hook... line and sinker! :D
I love it when sheep start bleating so loud that they drown each other out! ;)

By they way... by insulting me... you prove that you are incapable of actually debating your point using sound logic... um, yeah... so I'll just leave that there for you to choke on.
