OK, so let me get this straight? You oppose censorship and support the free flow of information from all sources no matter what they are? Total transparency?

He's saying your logic and argument is flawed. Please show WHERE he said your posts should be censored?

Protip: "You are incorrect" and "your posts should be censored" are not the same thing.

Diametrically opposed to your views on file sharing and copyright violations, huh? I guess you will also be happy when evidence of our own government's corruption is locked behind media tribunals and unilateral pronouncements of classification under the Protection of Information Act?

Well he certainly seems like he wants me to shut up and doesn't want me posting my views. That amounts to censorship... and he is thereby proven to be a hypocrite.

I never gave any comment on the wrongness or rightness of it. Only that legal action was still being considered. Your interpretations of my posts are your own, but they are factually incorrect. I have no problem with the information being released... only with the way in which it was released. I have no problem with it being out there... but the people who put it out there broke the law and are now complaining about being punished. I think they should face up to whatever consequences will come to them. They took the chance. Now is no time to start crying about being punished... they knew the risks.

who is the man behind the leaks ?
what is his agenda ?
why is he really leaking ?

now those 3 questions doesn't say he is satan and there shalt not be leaks, but it is just questioning his motive and reason.

ok ? try to for the moment move to the side that leaks are good (which i think it is) and to look into the man himself.
 
Honestly don't care about the topic of whether leaks are good or not (I believe they are such a great way to keep gov in check) anyways, the fact that companies like amazon and paypal (ebay) is doing what they are doing amounts to political interference, and in the USA!!! omg, a country all for freedom of ........ everything!!!, now thats hypocricy, and france???? what is ur problem? u got something to hide?

we need to boycott ebay, paypal, amazon.....etc if they bow down and support evil then they are EVIL!!!
 
The Yanks have to be behind all of this. They have the most too lose.

So it begs the question, I guess, is this freedom of speech or violation of privacy and confidentiality?

What law has been broken by Wikileaks? And whose law? And if they have broken some imaginary law, why is The Guardian, Der Spiegal, Le Monde, El Pais or The New York Times who are working with Wikileaks and publishing the reports above that law?
 
As much as I don't like it, I can see the business decision. It seems in this case that how the if was obtained is illegal (though not yet proved in court). However as a business it is better to be safe and hold off until the courts decide.

As I said before this is all still being decided by the US attorney general. Remember, they have to let the court case against the soldier who leaked the docs run its course before they can take any other action. But trust me... there will be action.

not by wikileaks but by the guy who got the info.

The US businesses could wait for a court to decide, but by that time they could have opened themselves up to a serious bout of legal action. It is prudent to wait it out.
 
Basically the US businesses couldn't use the defence that they didn't loathe info was stolen because ire is in the public domain that the info was likely obtained illegally. If you guys cannot see why the various business have taken rhetorically decisions they have, then you are being bloody minded.
 
I'm closing my paypal account and sending them a letter stating that the reason for my account closure is their subjective actions with relation to WikiLeaks after pressure from the US government. I hope enough people do the same for them to take notice.
