PC crashing (pics included) :(

The screenshot you posted looks like Nvidia's now infamous P(pink)SOD. Those drivers are what I went back to when I had it, but I should add my card wasn't freezing in games.
 
You could troubleshoot any overheating by installing Realtemp and monitor the temperatures of your system. Could also be that something needs to be reseated on your mobo, so I normally make sure to clear out dust and then check all connections by reseating them. For the memory modules you should remove the dimms and reinsert them after dusting off.

Alright fair enough. Went back to 306.97, no such luck :( so its safe to say its not a driver issue.

@Rickster Tried Furmark this afternoon, same result as Kombustor. Let it run for +/- 25 min and had no issues whatsoever.

@Ryansr Temps are fine in all the stress tests Ive done, BF3 included. As for reseating the components, will do this afternoon. Ive kept the PC relatively clean so I doubt its dust, but it cant hurt to check.

@Brbk LOL! :) If only it was temporary!

Nope, some software doesn't uninstall completely or make changes to other components. Do a clean install.

Yep did exactly that. Wasnt sure if it would clean it completely so I did a clean install each time I changed drivers.
 
So not a driver issue and not the card either. Try removing the ram in halves. Otherwise could be not enough juice.
 
use driver sweeper to clean driver then reinstall old nvidia drivers. if nothing helps open the card and bake it in the oven the resoldier the dry joints.

Anyway I think it's time to upgrade from that 9800GT.

Do you know what temperature is required to resolder dry joints?
Rather heat gun (if deeparate), but not for long time!
 
Clean install so not driver. Card works in other pc so likely not faulty. People should read before giving dangerous advice like baking in the oven.
 
Just to bring some closure to this thread - it was the PSU after all! :)

I bought a new 500W PSU and the system is working perfectly again. No crashes etc.

Thanks everyone for the ideas!
 
Check and replace bulged capacitors in PSU, I am sure you still will be able to use it. Bad caps frequently cause unstable power and even tripping off.
