PC Link Computers: Legit?

How are/were they taking payments from the .com domain, which is still active?
If you select payfast and try to go through the payment it gives this error.
This merchant account is currently not able to receive payments.

So the payfast claim appears to be true, the .com website payfast is not working anymore and the .co.za website is offline.

Bought some laptop RAM from them just before the site went down. No invoice received but got the Payfast confirmation.

I'll use that to get FNB to try and recover some cash.

Then they've still been getting payments until whenever PayFast suspended their account - probably withdrawing it as quickly as possible.

Just wondering what happened to them. I order stuff in the past and received it, once returned an item an got my money back.

Something must have happened that they are now seem to be fraudulent.
Same, never had any issues prior ±6 months ago with hard drives and mouses ordered, self picked up at midrand.

Thank you for your patience while allowing us the opportunity to further assist you during this process.

We have been doing our best to attempt an open channel of communication between yourself and the seller, unfortunately, we received no further outcome or resolution.

This has resulted in the seller's account being disabled, as such, PayFast no longer facilitates payments for this company.

Unfortunately, we are unable to process refunds, as there are insufficient funds in the seller's account to do so.

As there is no resolution to this matter, it is your right to pursue legal action against the seller.

In the event of this occurring, we are happy to provide the investigating officer, with all required details on the seller. Please advise the case officer to contact us on 021 300 4455 or via email on [email protected]

Should you require further assistance, do not hesitate to contact PayFast.

That’s normal procedure they have to follow if they can’t establish it was directly fraud like when someone steals your card info. Just a formality.

Hi Guys, i have also been a victim of these pathectic fools and Im hoping fnb will make things right. They played me for 4 months with all the excuses under the sun. I just found a website with the same details as the old PC link website. The contact number is the same but when it comes to the address instead of Peck avenue, it is Park avenue. Have a look at it, https://pclinkonline.co.za/default.aspx.
I will make it my lifes mission to do anything i can to hinder these criminals. We need to stop their payment portals or people will keep getting duped out of money.

I paid with my credit card, FNB said they will debit me with the money and then investigate. If they find fraud then the money will be availible to me. I hope all goes well as they are trying to contact Pc Link.

I tried to buy a R12 000 TV and thought my money was in the wind, i honestly just tried to close off thier payment portals so others wouldnt lose money and suprisingly FNB came through. Lol doing the right thing pays off sometimes.

I wouldn’t be surprised if these guys have accumulated a few hundred thousand rand in ill gotten funds. And many people have no clue about chargebacks and how to fight these guys, Pclink are just laughing all the way to the bank.

My +1 story to the victims here: 8 April ordered HDD from 'em (site were working!) and a few days later I see stupid "maintenance" page FOR DAYS. My feel is their busines gone worse and worse, so owner decide to grab latest orders and disappear. And most annoying thing is there is no "Internet police" for at least block his account and at the most - arrest moron and put in jail for 10 years. SA is most infantile country in the world! No law, no punishment...

Forgot to add: these morons TWICE deleted my account! Obviously my 1K data doesn't overload their database. But main point is I have no proof of previous purchases - it's convenient to 'em to decline any guarantee!

i have had a good end to my pc link saga. Nedbank finally reversed the transaction getting back my 18K i thought was gone. i would like to thank all members on this forum that has shared valuable information.

for those that are still waiting for a refund wish you all the best and dont give up. if you paid by card raise a dispute with your bank, you will get your money back.

Same boat as everybody in this thread, 2.2k down the tubes, reported to Ombudsman, sent a complaint form in to the National Consumers Commission and laid a charge of fraud with SAPS. Depending on how you paid and the timeline, seems to dictate whether the banks can assist or not. There is no accountability in this country, so im not holding my breath, as consumers we are easy targets. Its the Wild West.

I’m assuming you paid via EFT?
