Haha, it does not actually keep you that busy when you get it, there's not a lot of settings on it. It actually makes you look less at your phone and focus more on other things.

I'm thinking of getting once for myself for Christmas, how does the import tax and VAT work when ordering from overseas?
I'll post my experience here, ordered one, should be here in a couple of weeks.

The VAT is calculated on the purchase price @14%. I cannot recall the specific import duties amount.
I think it actually was just a clearance fee (? R30) with the VAT. Was not very expensive.
I own both the Original and Steel models - and I love my Pebbles.
The Steel is nice, although use of the metal band reduces the effectiveness of the vibration function.
My next one is the LG Smart Watch R - looks really awesome!

VAT act states that VAT on imports is levied at 14%*(purchase price + customs*1.1)
Ja, that sounds about right.
I bought the Steel when it was $249 though.
Also, on a different topic - the customer service I received was really good.
My original Steel arrived with the middle button loose / broken. I contacted Pebble for RMA, and was requested to send photos of the defective unit.
They replaced it without any issues. I did not even have to return the broken unit!

Got my Pebble black from takelot - very expensive but I did not want to wait - next day delivery (on a Saturday). Also went to www.truffol.com and got a metal black strap for it - couriered to me - the strap is beautiful and is made for the Pebble Black - machine engineered etc - it fits into the indentation of the body of the pebble. Was really worth it.
