[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

Tried to register, but busy icon just keeps spinning
Same here - have been trying to register my U8QF since June. Firstly, the model is not available in the drop-down and when I select another it goes nowhere...

Hi guys. Is there any 43A7100F owners in this thread?

I'm looking to buy my first real TV, been using an old 24" monitor and a Mi Box as a TV up until now. We mainly watch series and movies via Plex or Netflix, and also a little bit of Formula 1 on the weekends.

Budget is around R6k. I can get the Hisense 43A7100F for R5200. Will this be a decent option for my use cases? From what I can see it's virtually identical to the 43A6G except for the newer Vidaa 4 on the A6G, so no real point in spending a few hundred bucks extra for the A6G. Another option is the 50A7100F which is a bit brighter with better contrast according to the specs, and is sometimes available for R6500-ish. Does anyone know what the motion is like on the 7100F series?

Or should I rather save up some more money and stretch to a 55" U7WF or U7QF?

The A7100F is an entry level TV so it does seem to have some of the entry level issues, a U7WF is Mid level and the U7QF is a little bit higher up.

Cloudy screens, slow processors and such.
The 43A7100F uses the same processor (MSD6886) as the U7WF and U7QF according to the specs on the official website. I see that the 7100F doesn't offer motion enhancement and compensation though. Is it worth having if I watch the occasional F1 race?

I see from previous comments that you own a U7QF. How is the motion handling on it? Do you think it will be good for watching F1? It looks very similar to the U7WF except that the U7WF doesn't have the quantum dot layer and the U7QF is a bit brighter, so better HDR.

By cloudy screens, do you mean uneven backlight brightness? That's something that I think I will notice a lot.

Would be nice if a 7100F owner could comment on the performance of their unit.

Had the 50A7100F and the picture quality was terrible compared to the 43" Samsung it replaced at the time.

The menus and apps also didn't look polished and were blurry.

Yup the lighting can be uneven, sorry was in a meeting, also even with the same processor apparently it felt sluggish to navigate.
I do have a qf and motion is fine, had a few hiccups until I updated it.

I have a U8qf and the motion blur on it is there, doesn’t bother me especially because I don’t watch sport but I usually see it in drag race videos(Carwow)I watch.

Thanks! I went to Makro after work, and had a look at the 7100F, U7WF, U7QF and U8QF.
The U7WF looks a lot better than the 7100F (better brightness, contrast and also has local dimming), but the difference between the U7WF and U7QF isn't that big from what I could see. The U8QF was a lot brighter though, but it's a bit of a stretch for me, and I'm not sure the extra brightness will even matter if it isn't directly next to something to compare it too. So I will go with the U7WF or U7QF rather than the 7100F.

Yup told you the difference from entry level to Mid range is huge.
