[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

From the eBucks store on a 40% off sale so getting a refund won't work out well.

I'm regretting getting a Hisense, I thought they were decent quality but damn the TV I got is really scrapping the barrel and the amount of sht people have reported getting when trying to get support from Hisense means they are no where near the league of the reputable brands like Samsung and LG.
I've done a ebucks less 40% hisense TV RMA.

TV got picked up. Assessed. Week later I got a new TV. No charge

What was wrong with it and how long ago was that?
It started to develop lines over the screen. It was mid 2021. I simply logged the return on the ebucks website, it was picked up and a new TV was delivered. I think it took about a week in total.

I'm not against a repair/replace. Dunno about refund though, especially as Hisense are the ones honoring the warranty, how would that work? Store credit etc?

Would have a problem with inflation due to the refund method after 3 years. Certainly wouldn't encourage me to buy that brand again. Most direct warranties or either repair or replace closest, even if replace is with another repaired tv.

Well, this is my second with the first being a little 32" that lasted four years, tried turning it on again the other day, got severe bulb or power issues.

I've had 3 and all 3 have given less issues then the Samsung I had, or even the Sinotec back in the past.

I'm assuming all the lower rung Hisenses are made in SA and they could intentionally be using lower QC levels because they think the market isn't sophisticated enough to notice?

Up to what level is the Sa Hisense range made in Sa?

Four year warranty will hurt them badly if their QC is out, don't believe that's the case. I'm starting to suspect the Durban humidity climate might be having a say, although monitors never have the issue.

Sorry what I meant was QC related to cosmetic issues like backlight bleed which in theory I'm assuming they may think their target market will not be particularly sensitive to.

There's no ways the screen I had was inspected other than testing it was functional. In all my years of countless different displays in various forms I've never had one so bad, never mind it was IPS so should be a fair step above your run of the mill TN displays.
