HiSense 65″ FLAT ULED SMART – M7000 | 65M7000UWG (uses ELED technology?) link
They are both the same TV , just different sizes.

So If i am using my Roku for streaming, I dont need to buy a Smart TV, right? What shall I go for then?

Ok, so after a long conversation, I have confirmation that both panels are 10 bit, but here is the kicker...

Only the 65" uses ELED and the 55" uses ULED.

Maybe they did that to keep the price down or something, but considering this , they are certainly not the same TV's just a different size.

Does anyone actually have the 65M7000UWG ?

According to their website the 55"also has ELED

ELED = https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/ELED

ULED is a Hisense branding for their high-end TV's just like how Samsung has QLED and LG has SuperUHD, it's merely a branding

Well, I bought 2x 39" the other day. So far no trouble.... but I'll come back in a year and tell you more :p

Sound is decent, picture quality is good (all streamed from the PS4's connected to them).

I was looking at these a few days ago and looks like this model does not have hdr. The other model with hdr is about 2k or 3k more I think. Don't know if you are looking for hdr?
I have the 43 in this. It has HDR. Picture quality is good but I hate the smart interface which is slow and doesn't even offer showmax or other well known apps , running it instead with a media box and super happy.

Smart implies it has built in wifi and media playing just like your roku.

Non smart tv's are 1k cheaper generally speaking. Choice is yours whether u keep using the roku

Any opinions on this one?

Hisense 55" Smart LED UHD TV 55N3000UW

What do you plan to use it for?

That’s what I bought for my old man and the Smart TV function is a bit useless.

But otherwise it’s decent enough at the price point.

Based on your Roku comments above I wouldn’t dodge this TV just to avoid the Smart though. Just don’t use it.

Paying R1000 less isn’t because the Smart is missing, it’s because it’s a crapper TV.

Use it to stream Series, movies, YouTube, and the occasional news bulletin. Killed off DSTV, so dont watch any broadcast stuff really. Maybe some cricket when it's on SABC3.

I will even consider a 50" if it has better features at more or less the same price point. Looking for a TV to buy is a friggin minefield.

I've had the Hisense D36 50 led for about 3 years. It's been pretty decent but I'm feeling the need to upgrade :)

Same here, got mine in December 2014, but I have no need to upgrade it. Works fine with an Android TV box connected to it.
