As a CX and C1 owner, with experience with QN's, that's definitely not true. My 65" A8H is phenomenal, and at half the price of LG and Samsung. It's better to rather spend more money and buy an LG C1/C2 or get a Samsung QN90B(Not OLED but still fantastic). Stop buying Nonsense
You'll also get half the qualityAs a CX and C1 owner, with experience with QN's, that's definitely not true. My 65" A8H is phenomenal, and at half the price of LG and Samsung.
As someone incredibly pedantic, and a fine eye for detail, I must again disagree with you. The A8H offers 90 - 95% of what the LGs and Samsungs do.You'll also get half the quality
So you've not actually seen one or owned one. Got itYou'll also get half the quality
Built in Netflix does indeed support that, so does the built in PrimeSo how bad is the OS actually, I have my Android TV media player anyway so it's a non issue I just always wondered.
Does the built in Netflix app support Dolby Vision and Atmos, what about Plex?
I had the A8H it's not as bad as u make it out to seem. I would say it gets you around 85-90% there when compared to a lg c1. I'm referring to picture quality for movies though. Gaming is a different story(120hz)You'll also get half the quality
Input lag is fine on the A8H. I played cod on it without any input lag issues(ps5) If you don't plan on playing in 120hz u shouldn't have an issue with your a8h+ps5Thanks, I ordered an Apple TV after going through the previous posts.
The QN85A is the 65inch version. I bought it from incredible connection during their Christmas sale although I still have to collect it. I’ll still be able to send back the A8H to takealot. The QN85A looked great at the samsung store but they didn’t have an oled to compare it to. I did see some slight blooming on dark backgrounds but the picture quality seemed very good. I honestly don’t know which tv to go for. The samsung is R20k and the Hisense will end up costing me R26k after adding the Apple TV. I can’t decide if the oled picture quality is worth the extra cost. I’m not using the tv in a bright room. I’m more worried about the Hisense’s input lag, issues with PS5 colour accuracy, etc
With tweaking I could get my Series X perfectly fine on 120hz, I just of course expected a few cut backs to maintain 120hz, Gears 5 was pretty good at 120hz.Input lag is fine on the A8H. I tried everything I could and couldn't resolve the issue, you also provided some settings to try out unfortunately that didn't help. For me 120hz only worked fine in 4k/120hz with hdr turned of soon as its turned on the image would wash out... apparently the u8h also had the same issue, I read a firmware update fixed it for most users while some still had issues...anynways i'm glad to know that it's not really an issue for anyone else because it's an excellent tv apart from some motion issues that's easy to fix. With tweaking I could get my Series X perfectly fine on 120hz, I just of course expected a few cut backs to maintain 120hz, Gears 5 was pretty good at 120hz.
Have you tested out your ps5 or Series x yet?Still enjoying your OLEDs? Mine has been used lots through the holidays. Very happy overall with only slight motion issues occasionally. Still haven’t unboxed the PS5 (or tested the Xbox SX). Still a bargain at R23k and half the price of LG/Sony.
65A8H up to R24,999 now on Takealot. 55A8H up to R16,999.
Sadly not. Still using the One X on the A8H.I tried everything I could and couldn't resolve the issue, you also provided some settings to try out unfortunately that didn't help. Does seem like it's a PS5 thingI tried everything I could and couldn't resolve the issue, you also provided some settings to try out unfortunately that didn't help. Interesting.Does seem like it's a PS5 thing
The above is just a search for 120hz oled washed out
First ones are PS5 digging further down does bring up XSX
As my settings fiddling did fix most of the colour issues.
The A8H is an OLEDHI Chaps, so scrolling up it does not seem if this was asked. between the SA versions in the 65" which is the go to A8H or the U8H? and im struggling to find the actual differences in picture quality. Yes the nits is higher in the U8H but overall differences from those that did a side by side comparison? I managed to view the U8H today @ Makro and was impressed....somewhat.![]()
Correct, borrowed from LG if I'm not mistaken but is it better than the U8H on a side by side comparison in SA.The A8H is an OLED
