[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

Any info on this one, it terms of peak brightness and dimming zones?

Check this out on takealot: Hisense-55" UHD Android Smart TV with HDR Dolby Vision & Bluetooth

Returning my 5 day old B8000 because Vidaa is not my cup of coffee.
There's a new VIDAA coming out soon that you can upgrade to that looks good.

I just bought a Q8600 55". Should be getting it on Monday I hope :D Can't wait! Replacing a VERY old LG 49"

Already bought the 55A7200F. Also arriving Monday. Will see how it goes.

Got my TV on Saturday. It's bloody awesome! Very good display quality and the VIDAA isn't terrible. Just wish there was an option to allow Airplay to it.

Removed the Apple TV from my setup and only using the Smart features for Youtube, DSTV Now, Showmax and Netflix and haven't noticed any lagging issues or any other issues for that matter.

Got it wall mounted, which was easy as well.

Which model is this?

Is the new U8QF series out yet? Any prices?

From Hisense SA's Twitter. The pre-order runs till 15 September so I expect they will be on sale after that.

Interesting though, the U8QF is the H9G (internationally) while the U7QF is the H8G (internationally)

If the U8QF launches at 17k for the 55 inch we might be looking at less than 15k for the U7QF which would be a amazing value imo.

The Hisense 58A7100F is the only new model available so far.
The rest of the new models will become available from about next week.
The prices on the higher spec'd TV have seen quite a big increase due to the exchange rate.
As I said previously, prices have been increased quite a bit.
See the 65U8QF below:
55U8QF will be R16999
55U7QF - R12999
We should hopefully be receiving our stock soon.

For the price of R29 k for Hisense 65 U8QF (H9G) , perhaps worth considering the Samsung Q80R now discounted in their blue tag sale for R26 999. Has better motion handling and VRR and rated better than than H9G on Rtings.com

Thanks. Great pricing on the U7QF/H8F. Wondering if its better than the Q8600/H9F now.

Also what is the international equivalent to the U7WF - cant seem to find anything on this TV?

At 30k you're into OLED territory which is miles ahead of anything else.

My issue with the Hisense U8QF is the 8bit+FRC colour depth. What's the point of the high contrast, local dimming and dolby vision when you land up with banding and limited colours

I agree

Which one has the best picture quality 55U7QF or the 55Q8600
55U7QF is new and not out yet. Probably this one seeing that it's new and 55Q8600 is the current one.

I have the 55Q8600 and the picture quality is perfectly fine. Way better than the LG somethin' somethin' I had before (which was just a plain old LED Smart TV that I got 8 years ago).

We updated the TV to the latest available Firmware, but the OS seem a little laggy. Video plays perfectly fine, it's just opening apps and previews in apps like Youtube that take long to load.

Thinking about getting a smart box like a Xiaomi Mi TV Box S 4K. Used to have an Apple TV, but that didn't support 4K.
