[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

The same goes for the Hisense OLED in terms of the 800 nits being in vivid mode. It’s a “store-mode” figure, so unrealistic for home use.
Alright, guess we will have to wait and see. I just hope its priced lower than the LG A1.

For preservation probably. Lets see what they do this year.
The YouTube and online reviewers have said that the manufacturers have gotten so good at reducing burn-in that they can now safely increase the brightness to compete better with LCD brightness. So yeah, gonna be interesting.

Really excited for real tests, I know these manufacturers usually lie at CES. I really want an OLed.

Philips also makes an Oled tv. This is from the local Philips site but not sure who is selling it

I saw that a week back, The Oleds are not available locally even though they pop up on the site.

Only their U80G 8K tv has a 120hz panel with true HDMI 2.1 support and has Android. So its the closest thing to their US models in specs but I don't see the need for 8K right now.
It’s decent, but not R50k plus decent.

If you just watch content and don't play games, you could get the A1,
A1 pricing is bad. It’s almost as if they don’t want you to buy the tv. If the 65 inch was 25k instead of 35k then it would make sense to get it. C1 65 inch as well is too high.

so an update on the ebucks return

just waiting now but they offered me the a7200f

i had the a7100f

a7200 has android and i only have to pay an extra R500, which i dont mind cause the new 65" was on special for R10999

so i paid for the new tv as it was on special just in case ebucks did a refund, now i have to return that one but i paid for it and didnt take it from the store as yet so will be easy process

so happy with that just waiting now for them to finalise and deliver

Ok great. So lesson here, eBucks returns process is pretty good!

And you got a new model.

Anyone have the 55U6G?

Getting annoyed with this tv.

Beautiful picture, and almost everything works without issues (Netflix, Youtube etc.) at highest settings.

But DSTV now, can navigate fast and starts playing almost instantly, but stutters and lags the whole time. I watch a lot of sports. Impossible at the moment. Constant stutter and lag. Guy kicks ball, image stops, few seconds later resumes and game is over already or its 2 passages of play later already. The whole time.

I tried all the picture mode settings. Set everything to low etc.

Internet connection is fine (50/50 Fibre) via cable.

Did any of you read about this issues or something?

If I must guess, its the DSTV Now app on Vidaa thats doing this and not the TV itself?

Miss my sports. F1 coming soon.

Please shout if you can help.

PS: If I connect my Mi Box S everything is fine (picture quality just looks crap via the box?).
