[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

There is no truth, you just harp on and on about LG.
Just move on, you got a dud, not everyone wants or can afford the magical C1, you're starting to sound like PostmanPot and his love of the Samsung Plasma
Denial Denial, I have mentioned Pros and cons of Hisense tvs, you act like i am always negative about hisense. But dont act like Hisense are all that when they aren't. They are cheap for a reason and you see why once you have it. LG C1 is worth every penny and you see where the money was spent. It is also miles ahead of any HiCrapsense. People can make their own choices with their money, I just try to help and guide them so they dont make the same mistakes. IF you are 100% happy with your hisense then good for you, it just simply means your standards are very low which is also fine. Anyways i am done with this now. But just know I will keep harping on about the LG. Enjoy your Saturday.

Not here to put down Hisense or punt the LG C1

I joined this forum as I was in the market for a "cheaper" HDMI 2.1 capable TV as I do a fair bit of gaming (next gen).

The amount of unreliable info regarding models, the capabilities of the panel (is it HDMI 2.1 but it only supports HDMI 2.0 etc) and then the constant complaining of apps not working/crashing and not getting updates, or having to ask the Hisense rep for links to updates and then side load it ... The list is almost endless.

Saved money, got the C1 and will never look back.

Oh the C1 is not without its problems ... I watch/play in a room with quite a bit of sunlight, it does have a bit of glare at times which does occasionally distract me when I notice it.

You made a great choice. The C1 is the one to get.

Does anyone know if the hisense U7G support 48hz. Or if there is any judder when watching movies?

I dont know what you are so mad about, Hisense is a crap chinese brand that offers a lot for the money, same as Haval, you simply get what you pay for, If you want premium service and a TV that isnt gimped then cash out and get an LG C1. TCL is also another crap cheap brand so goodluck with that . Speak with your money.

I'm not mad lol, I'm simply stating that it's not cool that SA consumers have to verify that we are getting the same products that are advertised. There are very few SA focused reviews which means that we have to use the US/EU reviews and when those TVs are not the same, then the review is basically useless. We went through the same process with Samsung and their AWFUL Exynos SoC platform. The Galaxy S phones that we got for the longest time were inferior to the Snapdragon versions.

Here's to hoping that Hisense sorts out it's issues and that Hisense does not gimp out.

Yeah I understand what you mean, but hisense is in it for the money so they will keep gimping, you are expecting way too much from them and I doubt they will fix their issues anytime soon, this is why it is better to buy a more decent brand that sells the same product internationally, you will have to pay more but I think it would be worth it. Hisense takes us for fools.

Fair point.... Here's to hoping that we get more competitors in the market.
I'd love to have an SA market where we have multiple players like Sony, LG, Samsung, Panasonic, TCL, Hisense and Vizio. It's HIGHLY unlikely that this will EVER happen, but one can hope.

In the meantime, you're right, we have 3 solid brand in Samsung, Sony and LG to choose

Nope, Only LG unfortunately, Samsung tvs offer way too little for the amount of money you pay and they suffer from over-saturation, Sony doesn't sell its flagship tvs in SA, Your only Option is LG.

Hisense comes out swinging

Let's hope this model comes to SA, similar price point, looks like $100 difference from the vid.

I generally like this guys reviews as they seem the most honest to me, yes there may be others out there differing with anything in this vid, it's the nature of the game.

Again can't answer on any of the complaints on this forum if this model is available here (updates/apps crashing etc)

But if us C1 guys can say C1 over a Hisense on a Hisense forum, I think it's only fair to compare apples with apples and it seems this time Hisense has the apples.

The purpose of this post is not to cause a debate, just to indicate that there are Hisense models out there with similar capabilities to the C1.

I have one, its great TV for the price.
Hi, do you have the 55inch or 65inch and is it a true 120hz panel.
Has well does it fair with sports and HD movies.
Toshiba in the past, made some very decent TV's.
They are now part of Hisense group, i hope they use all their knowledge, to better on the Hisense products these TV's are based on.
Thanks.

Also looking at the same, the 65". Looking for some real world insights and info. The info on the web is limited unfortunately as it seems to be only available here, some Asian countries and Australia.

I'll share some details later tonight. I have the 65".

It is later tonight.

Not exactly the right thread, but considering several asked on here and the Toshiba is owned by Hisense.

I've got the z770 65". Massive upgrade from my older LG, especially the full array dimming, brightness, HDR and colouring. No photo I take will do it justice, so I'd definitely advise going to have a look at your local Makro.
I can't comment on the built in sound bar, I use the JBL and in comparison the built-in without sub doesn't sound as good. Ticks I think all of the XBOX Series X boxes.

The android OS also perfect, I can sideload my usual apps and so far it seems very smooth. Except for the DSTV app, not sure if its just android but the quality not that good, but it might be unrelated to the TV, haven't used the app in a while. Watched some stuff on Dolby Vision as well and was stunning.

The manual is not well documented, so for instance it took me couple of minutes to figure out I need to set HDMI to enhanced mode to enable the 120hz for the Xbox.

Other than that, i think for the price its a very good deal, not sure if you'll find an 65" 120hz panel, android OS, quantum dot colors, 1000 nits brightness and hdmi 2.1 for R18999. For me its a m0erse upgrade compared with my older TV so i only have nice things to say. Let's hope no issues with it and it lives a long and happy life.

Nice, I've got my u7qf 65" but it's not eArc or 120hz so it's like hmm do I upgrade a 2 year old TV or do I just suck it up.

Thanks for the reply, concerning the Toshiba.
A new question, which TV works better, a OLED or QLED, in a completely dark room,
with no natural light entering the room, i have just removed the large window and bricked it up.
Thanks
