I can't comment on those specific models but I have the U8H and very happy with it. I would say take the best quality model you can get for your budget.

Edit: from the reviews I have seen I would skip the TCL. My vote would be the 75 U7K between the 3

Heres a local review of the U7K
It's tough to find local reviews of Hisense tvs except the U series. TCL has even worse coverage

I don't think the A7k has quantum dots. Colours wont look good. I saw some of the earlier A series models broadcasting sports in person at the stores. By far it looked the worst out of all tvs from the colours to the image quality. Might have been 480p content stretched to fit the bigger screens. The U7k is the better choice. Wouldn't recommend CU series Samsungs either. Anything entry-level isn't good from my experience.

I have the A7G from 2021 and it was a great buy. The size is magnificent. The picture is very good, supports Dolby Vision. Sport is very immersive, though you get the usual lags with fast action. Not a train smash for me, though. If you’re looking for a massive tv with very good picture, then this is it. Obviously, OLED is better, but price-value wise it’s great. And the price on the new model has gone down since I bought, I see.

Big issue though is that this is made in South Africa (says so on the box which looks different to overseas) so they've used a different cheap panel....I read the avsforum discussions overseas and guys were raving about quality of 75inch ADS pro panel.....Even though takealot specs are for the 2000:1 contrast ratio ADS pro panel, this is clearly a different cheap SA panel variant. The IPS glow and viewing angles are shockingly bad so as usual we're getting raw deal in SA.

I would avoid the SA U8k like the plague. Here's a picture at the same viewing angle with u8k on the left and samsung q9fn on the right (which has va panel with alledgedly worse off axis response). Both are in most accurate filmmaker modes...the ips glow and haze on the U8K is a joke at the price they're charging. Low light hdr scenes are almost unwatchable.

2nd pic is on axis where it's better but still still looks awful.

I wonder if its just the 75 inch that has an ADS panel

No it's not that bad and it seems to be luck of the draw, some people get it and some dont, what it looks like is separate colours literally banded, in some cases it's really extreme and in others it's not. Normally colour banding happens from the sources side, but on rare occassions the TV can't decode fast enough.

My U7H 55" was finally delivered today after being lost between FNB eBucks and Hirschs order system for 3 weeks.

I think I have some mild banding, but I only spotted it once in one very light scene containing a sky / desert landscape and the source content was a 4K rip (21GB in size, other info below). In other scenes I could not notice anything obvious. How would one tell if it's problem from the source's side vs a problem with the TV's decoder?

On a U7H 55" is it recommended to turn motion interpolation off to avoid the soap opera effect, if I am only really watching movies and series then I don't want it on? One would only want it on for watching sports? Is the below setting the correct place to turn it off and is turning it off for one movie going to keep it off for all other media?

If it happens on all sources then it's the TV

Hi guys, ive got the Hisense A8H, plugged into my pc. I just want to know if there is a way to have the tv go on automatically when i start up my pc? Thanks

If you can figure out how to do pc version of CEC
 
So have contacted Hisense for a repair on my A8H, hdmi 2 is basically just noise and eArc seems to have stopped working.
Also had an incident where it wouldn't turn on just the white light flashed. Let's see, luckily I had a photo of my POP. As the paper is poof

Watching Reacher on the A8H, yeah it black scenes just look so much better then other tvs

Sure you should be able to use this setting or the one above somehow to do that

You should be able to manually change the picture setting to Standard, Cinema, etc whatever your preference is in the settings
 
It only gives me HDR picture modes because the explora forces the TV into HDR mode even though it's not displaying HDR picture

And you can't customise the HDR settings to your preference? I customise my HDR because I don't like the default HDR settings
