[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

Yes you can customise the HDR settings. So can I customise the HDR mode to match my SDR settings and achieve the same result without physically switching off HDR?

I haven't tried that but possibly. I just adjusted the settings to suit my preference
 
I've tried to search through this thread but haven't found any answers. I am trying to connect my PC to my Hisense A8H using this HDMI 2.1 cable. I have turned on Enhanced Mode on the TV and 120Hz comes up as an option on my PC, but as soon as I change it to that, it loses signal. Works fine at 60Hz. Not sure if this means that the cable just doesn't support it, or if there is another setting somewhere that I need to change. It is plugged into HDMI 4 on the TV.

Any advice is appreciated :)

What graphics card are you using?

Mine runs fine from a 6800XT GPU. I only turned on enhanced mode on mine.
Using a similar "48gbps" cable.

Thanks guys. It likely is the cable then. I unfortunately need a 10m one as my TV is quite far from my PC, and those seem quite hard to come by.
 
Hisense coming to assess and probably take my A8H away, it's been mounted on my wall since forever so I don't even know where the stand is, hopefully they don't require that.

Keep us updated on the progress.

My 65A8H still holding on nicely, however, I must admit, my TV probably have a running time of 1 - 2 hours per week, if not less.

Thanks, I found bits of it :-) though not sure if it's all of it. I had to like scrounge through boxes. The lady on the phone did say they have a box they transport tvs in, so hopefully not needed.
Also though I'm not even sure why they'd need to take it in, wouldn't it be easier to just replace the hdmi board?

Will do, yeah mine was only being used for about 6 hours a week, not that much either really. We have the other 65" in the main lounge the older U7QF which gets used daily without a hiccup.
 
Hopefully my Q8600 will be collected this week.

Has been a painful experience just trying to get Hisense support to commit to a date.

I don't mind waiting, but just commit to something. Thankfully the TV is still semi-watchable, but I wouldn't try game on it at the moment.

What's happening on the Q8600? My A8H just had issues on HDMI 2 being noisy, then sometimes eArc wouldn't work, plus sometimes it just didn't turn on.

It makes sense to replace the board onsite.
My previous LG OLED had a vertical line on screen, LG came out to inspect and then they came back with a new panel, swopped panel at home.
Will be interesting to see how Hisense works.

OK my A8H is doing just fine but still new so
