Personal question, not sure what to name this thread.

Pretty high. Was similar in my previous relationship. The advantage of it though is that you last much longer. Maybe it's not as much a problem as I think it is? It's just that feels there's something wrong with her. I'm sure if we had got around to doing the deed, it would have worked fine.

I'm a gray asexual, got no sex drive really, I can develop one for specific people but blah blah blah. Not place for the long speech.

When I want an erection I get one, but keeping it can be an issue, its due to a lack of interest in what I'm doing mostly. And that's masturbating, although that should be implied.

Could you be suffering from a lack of interest?

If its something that is bothering you and if its something that you suspect may bother your potential partners then I'd really suggest that you go see a doctor, it may be a simple hormonal issue. If not then ask your doctor for a good psychologist.

But go with your idea first, abstain for a few days and see how things go.

best of luck!

Thanks. Going to see her again on Wednesday, will abstain till then and see how it goes.

This is probably going to sound like a news24 thread but here goes :

Let's say you've become so used to pleasuring yourself lately that when you're in the company of a female, you're unable to get it up since it's become accustomed to only your touch. And when you do eventually manage to get it up, you're unable to climax or it's not as great as when you do it manually.

What's the solution? Is the damage irreversible or would a few weeks of abstaining from self-pleasure sort this out? Is it possible to re-train your body to be turned on by something other than the touch it's used to?

I think you may be suffering from stage fright or performance anxiety, it is the anxiety, fear, or persistent phobia which may be aroused in an individual by the requirement to perform and it is very common. This is one key to the puzzle.

The other part as you mentioned would the self pleasing. You have conditioned your self to become erect for a hand job... you have lost track of the mind set that is needed. You have been made use to turning your self on with the idea of pleasuring your self in your subconsciousness with the end goal to reach an orgasm. This would be vanilla and boring.

Think of your younger days when you were very curious of women and the times you were able to become erect easily. You also need to have balance. You need to know why you are becoming erect not just for the sake of having sex.

Watching porn or pleasing your self takes you away from the actual turn ons or lust.

Try and refrain from pleasing your self for a while. But it is only one side of the equasion. You also have to please yourself and that means allowing yourself to be just a little bit selfish about your own pleasure; to think about what you want and how you feel as well as to think about what she wants and how she feels. Believe it or not, being partially selfish in this balanced way can be sexy to your partner. If your issue is related to performance anxiety, giving yourself permission to be just a little bit selfish may make it go away.

This is all to say: Too much thinking while lovemaking is a good way to ruin the lovemaking.

Tips: Foreplay... forget that you need to enter her. Try to go down on her and please her for a while. You will notice your motor starting pretty fast then. Also a blowjob also does not help at all when you are full of anxiety.

The erection pills should help but then you need to carry them around with you and you never know when an opportunity can arise or see a psychiatrist for anxiety pills. I found Remeron helped with no noticeable adverse effects for me personally. I also started sleeping again and good deep rem sleep.

The thing about anxiety is you may not even know that you have it and it can build up in the background from stress plus other factors. Also you should be sure to look after your sleeping patterns as a tired mind can compound the effect. ;)

Congrats abzo, you are now in a monogamous relationship with your penis.

Lol jokes aside, you're right. You gotta stop with the self pleasure coz your body is getting too used to it.

K@k. What does this even mean?

More than likely it's just nerves, preformance anxiety, poor body image and/or penis size issues.

My advice, have a couple of drinks (just a couple) and prolong the foreplay.

Excellent advice, right here:

Err No definitely not gay, no offence to any gays though. I think about her when I'm "self-pleasing" and I can be done in 5 minutes :O

It's not a physical/physiological problem but more psychological I'd say. Probably the performance anxiety issue. I've been after this girl for a while and now that I've got her, I think I'm afraid that i'll disappoint.

Also there was no sex involved (this was the first time we get intimate), just foreplay etc. Maybe it thought more was going to happen and didn't want to climax too soon and cut the evening short?

Forget about your "enjoyment" and take more time to pleasure her. While doing so you might be pleasantly surprised at the effect it has on you, i.e. focus on her and not yourself.

Rule #1 for you young guys: First priority is to make your partner happy.

I did spend quite a bit of time pleasuring her and succeeded. She wanted to "return the favour" but failed. Now that I think about it, it's not really that much of a problem since you're not supposed to climax during foreplay (with my previous gf I only ever climaxed after the deed and never during foreplay), right? I was just concerned because she was expecting me to.

It could be childhood phobias about the opposite sex that's wreaking havoc.
Maybe a girl you really liked rejected or insulted your manhood and so Johnny goes into hiding when its time to perform.
Its known as penis fright.

Used to happen to me after a long break between girlfriends, just ease up on the fapping and pronz and it will be fine.

Truth be told its got a little bit to do with her but mostly you... your body is used to the perfect handjob whenever it feels like it. You need to train it to be patient and wait for the right time.
Its partly her fault for not being able to give you the exact handjob you want... but then again I doubt that you are giving her the best handjob she has ever had either.

Don't get into any arguments. Someone might tell you to go fark yourself and you might get tempted.

Firstly why the F does your self pleasure last 5 minutes? Geezuz by then my dick would be bleeding haha. It does sound like you enjoy your penis a little too much.

Porn sadly distorts sex big time. You watch porn and you check this chick getting banged hardcore and it looks like she loves it. Porn is not real and you have to stop thinking real chicks will get down like that. Sure some porn is normal but for the most part it is unrealistic. Porn wrecks sex lives for sure because guys want their partners to become porn stars and that is when the trouble starts.

It's extremely frustrating when your partner wants missionary because she enjoys the contact and closeness and all you want to do is drill her like that last porno you saw :p
