I think it is a matter of people being push to their limit.

Dstv still has a big subscriber base in SA.

People in townships also have access to dstv.

ANN7 is available on all dstv packages, even the cheapest option.

You need to spend a minimum on R360pm to have access to ENCA.

I have watched SABC news channel, it is objective For Now! but quality of journalism still not as good as ENCA.

People are tired of the way Guptas have captured /bought this country and have reached boiling point.

This makes me question DSTV to be honest. Why have they continued to broadcast this crap.

Is DStv also corrupt? They had a dodgy deal with SABC and Hlaudi a while ago.

It is available on the cheapest/all dstv packages. They are trying to brain wash the easily manipulated individuals.

I am glad the SABC news channel is available on all packages and the channel isn't censored for now. Faith Mtumbi is trying to interfere with the board though

It is difficult being positive in the current political climate.

I will be protesting in the future. I don't want this country to sink any further.

That was also my first thought when I read the headline and then the article: MonoChoice already doesn't give a crap about paying customers, why would MonoChoice take note of and listen to a petition?

MonoChoice will simply say that nothing forces people to watch the ANN7 channel.

Another option would be to lay complaints against MonoChoice with the Broadcasting Complaints Commission about the ANN7 propaganda channel, that way MonoChoice is forced to respond to the BCCSA and might eventually give up and drop the channel.
 
Although the choice nominally lies with MultiChoice, in reality their refusal to allow ANN7 would probably run foul of their license conditions in terms if the Independent Broadcasting Authority Act of 1993 as administered by ICASA. In other words, MultiChoice's whole business depends on not running foul of the government.

They known what side their bread buttered.

Zupta have captured the State, and that means they can and will hold MultiChoice's feet to the fire.

only thing ANN7 is good for is their live streaming on their website. eNCA live streams suck. Other than that, crap on another level. Totally agree, anything Gupta related has only on function....obfuscating the truth and should be killed off.

+for those that say, no one really watches the channel, do yourself a favour and listen to talk radio, especially in Gauteng, 702/PowerFM...and the insane amount of callers that quote the channel in advancing their arguments.

Are the high subscription fees not reason enough?

I cancelled DSTV about 6 years ago, I've saved a small fortune that would just have ended up repeatedly enriching MonoChoice.
