Philips Airfryer - anyone have?

Take that shlt back and get a philips airfryer man, it's gonna be R1400 at game in 2 days (From 17th - 24th)

Can anyone tell me how long to cook prawns in this thing?

They are already de-shelled, and have the average, medium size.

Bro, it's easy, stick them in, twist the knob, wait, test, eat.

But I would go 10 or 15 mins on 200 open and see, if they look good Nom if not put it on for another 5 mins.

anyone know when the Airfryer XL will be released here ?

Took the hurricane back (tks keeper :-)).

2 hours to cook an unfrozen medium sized chicken, fresh fish recommended time 15 min, still raw underneath after 30 min. Chips were ok. Too much electricity usage for my liking.

What happens with the units customers return?
Are they returned to distributor, cleaned and sent back to the shop? :(

I think so :-((

I had cleaned mine up and repacked it properly. I heard the salesman tell the packer to send it back for "cleaning up" - presumably to sell - yuk.

LMAO. As long as the shop sells it as used (demo?) I'd be ok with it.

got my normal one at pnp hyper for 900, only had a white one though
but at that price I didnt mind

Wow thats cheap... yah they go for +/- 2k and the electronic one 650-1k more. I must say its pretty awesome.. I make pies, samosas, chips etc all in it.. though it kinda sounds like an ultra hot hairdryer :P also tried burger patties but if there is little fat in the patty then i think it makes it very dry. One think i noticed is that u have to pre-heat for some things if u want to come out good. e.g. pies and basically everything frozen

I must say I never thought a thread about an Airfryer would be one of my largest threads ;)

I haven't been bought it - but after reading, I'm keen once again

I had to resurrect this thread. Last year we got a Logick convection oven as a gift. It is similar to the air fryer but its bigger and actually works a damn side better than the Phillips. We cook practically everything in it. I even did bacon in it on the weekend and it come out awesome. They on special at Game for R379 which is a steal.

You still using this? I need to find a new grill rack thingy for mine, any ideas?
