Philips Airfryer - anyone have?

You’ll probably find that’s because the temperature gauge is way off and 180 is actually 200.

Or changing it makes very little difference.

I prefer not to use water inside electrical appliances. That also doesn't explain why my previous one didnt rust.

Why would the inside of the airfryer have nonstick layer though?

Oh sorry I thought you were referring to the basket.

That’s weird if it’s the air fryer itself as I’m pretty sure that’s aluminium.

Will go check mine now but I would warranty claim that for sure.

I’ve also actually used oven cleaner on the inside of the air fryer itself where the fan lives.

Best to flip it upside down to clean in there.
 
Hmm looking at mine it’s definitely aluminium and I guess what could be considered rust but I suspect is rather grease that has just discoloured a bit and looks rust-like.

Mine is an XXL though but can’t imagine the XL is different in that regard.

I haven’t cleaned the inside in at least a year.

Its definitely rust spots. If I rub my finger along the bottom it dips down in the rust spots. I thought it was grease strains at first and tried more oven cleaner directly on the spots for a few min.

We took it to makro earlier today. They will assess and probably replace it in a few days

My first thought as well, cake on grease does tend to look like rust over time

But it’s really one of those if you don’t have anything else situations you can make it work.

Definitely better tools for the job.

Also going to have plenty of it getting stuck in the ceiling section and burning.

During hard lockdown in 2020 , I tried a hell of a lot of stuff. But dismissed the popcorn thing :popcorn: :X3:
