Philips Airfryer - anyone have?

Boiled eggs? If so, what was the temperature and time setting you used?

Thre are stacks of Intenet recipes for air fryer, boiled eggs. Just about all of them talk about very high temperatures and 7 minutes or more, which is just daft.

I tried it this week, at 100 degrees C (theoretically the temperature of boiling water at sea level) and for 6 minutes. The outcome was for was a near-perfect soft-boiled egg.

Did you prick them? In water or just on the rack?

No it's a 3 poached egg tray I use as a makeshift.
 
just FYI, I was at the local Philips service centre yesterday, and saw a couple of these air fryers on the counter, so I asked the lady about these - it seems quite a few of them blow their electronics boards, she basically said to stay away from these.

Some people here had theirs for 8 years. Mine is still going strong since last year.

That is what you will find at a service centre. Duh!

The same way you will find dead bodies at a funeral parlour.
 
I may get "flammed" but I don't give a crap.

After a good few years of use my non-Philips AF packed up, switch on nothing happens, at the worst possible time. Funds are super low after the US trip & the clutch on my banger ducked out & needs to be attended to.

Couldn't justify paying ~50% extra for the brand name, Takealot DD to the rescue. The brand is known & reviews for the most part are very positive.

Before anyone asks the small size is perfect for a single oke.
