Temperature Accuracy​


Here again the HD9641/96 is about average. Top performers like the Ninja clearly outperform it, but there are other models that are also clearly worse.

In our testing the HD9641/96 ran about 10˚ hot when set to temperatures below 350˚, and 10˚ cold when set above that mark.

Let me explain cooking to you again, as I did previously. You can get a full chicken golden brown and crispy in less than 10 min. But it won't be properly cooked inside. So most convections ovens/air fryers will cook the same size chicken more or less the same time. Your starfish will make no difference. It takes time for the heat to penetrate all the way through to the bones. No magic air is going to penetrate through the meat faster. You can up your temp and do it faster, but then you will burn the outside.

I never claimed to be a cook unlike you and others so no thanks.

Lol yet your Safeway "air fryer" took 10 minutes + longer to cook chicken pieces.

Lol comparing the cheap Avance to other's expensive models. That seems fair.

I also never claimed to be a master chef or anything, but if you want to start making statements on cooking times etc. surely you should know the basic science behind cooking? Ever heard of low and slow. You cook at different time and temps to get different outcomes. Speed means nothing, end result is important, as you going to eat it.

Not comparing anything. Just showed you the temp accuracy of your Philips. Then again if you knew a bit more about cooking, you would know that temp accuracy is not that important as they always have been a bit off. You can buy two exact same Defy ovens and there will probably be a difference in the temp accuracy. So you learn your oven or air fryer. Few degrees will not make much of a difference.
 
SO got one on special at the brand new Checkers that opened up in Pmb

I am betting the air fryer will last longer than that new Checkers... it's going to go up in flames sooner rather than later
 
I must admit I don't impress easily. And when the SO told me he wanted one I told him it's going to be another ornament

After the first use I am sold. That thing is going to have a permanent place on our counter!

He is definitely a keeper. Seems he has an appreciation for good quality products, now if only those traits would rub onto you.
