Philips Airfryer - anyone have?

Check out the sunbeam convection bowl ovens. They very affordable and super awesome for whole chickens and vegies etc. The Chicken comes out extremely moist and full of juices.

That looks like an Airborne appliance. Lots of air floating about.

They work great for frying out pork fat for lard and crackling. Lard is great for frying eggs etc.

Thats just because this was before air fryers, same thing, they even call them air fryers these days. The Philips is just a knockoff of these.
It's quite amazing how little technology has changed. That milex will last for ages as they are built to last. These later airfryer they justify the steep prices by adding bells and whistles to make them more efficient and shorter cooking times. My granny had something similar, can't recall the name, and was the best. I don't think one should hesitate to get it as you know it will last a long time.

Is it possible to do McCain's Slap Chips (frozen, store-bought packet) in an air fryer? Any quick tips on how, most appreciated. A relative pitched up with a packet and asked how it's done, and I don't have the foggiest notion.

If it's a Philips airfryer chuck them in and 10 minutes later take them out.

Throw them in a plastic bowl and add a teaspoon or two oil and mix them well so everything is coated. If you going to cook the whole packet just add oil to packet and have one less thing to clean.
If you want slap chips then cook the lower heat and longer, maybe 170deg for 15min.
If you want it more crispy chips, higher heat, say 190 for 10-15 min. They are thicker than the normal chips so takes a bit longer of you want them nice and crispy. Open every 5min and toss them around a bit. And after 10m min have a look how they are and decide if a bit longer is needed.
This is the slap tjips, I did not add oil and cooked crispy. about 12min

McCain's recommends deep frying them, in fact that seems to be the only cooking method suggested by them.

You can airfry them I suppose but they won't be as nice.

Ja, the McCain's ones just taste better deep fried in oil.
Talking of McCain's, me and a friend, deep fried 160kg of McCain's during the inter school sport day, a few weeks ago. I doubt the Air fry chips would've sold out. And I doubt we would've fried that volume in an air fryer in the time we did.

If they recommend you jump off a bridge I bet you'll do it too?

I get that you don’t appreciate well prepared food but not everyone shares that trait, nor your inane ability to be taken in by marketing spiel.
