Hmm I think my XL is about to give up the ghost (got it in Jun, 2018). Fan is staring to make rattling noises. Now I'm sad that I didn't buy the XXL at R3K. Hopefully they will go on sale again soon. If anyone sees one at close to 3k please ping me.

Probably just some old fat/grease stuck in it, give it a thorough clean before splurging on a new one.

Philips XXL 185 deg. 18 minutes.
Marinade half of the portions and 190 deg. 5min.

What I love about the Philips XXL compared to the XL.

-Slightly bigger, fitting bigger portions chicken comfortably

-Extra insert traps oils and avoids fat and oils to be exposed to direct heat, less smoke.

-Vent location, direct smoke more towards back

-Grill only option with no fan. Nice to brown something or something with toppings sensitive to the fan

- Airfryer stops when you open the drawer and continues when you close the drawer

- Buttons + Dialer and various presets

- Getting it on Special for R3000 was worth it.
