@Craig_
To give you an idea, a pack of 4xdrumsticks + 4xthighs cooks within 20 minutes in my airfryer. Also switch off once done. Nice for an inverter as well.
Supper takes me not even 30 minutes to prepare from start to dishing up.
My oven which has a fan + elements takes at least 10/15 minutes to reach temperature. And then the chicken at least 45 minutes?
My other small air fryer toaster oven (Bennit Read or something cheap), takes about 45+ minutes as well. Got it to bake small breads and muffins when we didn’t have an oven.
Oven and steamer is still the best for veggies. (I have a little steamer for veggies as well which runs alongside the airfryer).
17:30 - Chicken spiced and into airfryer (18 minutes for Philips) , veggies cut and into steamer (10-15 minutes)
17:50 - plates out and preparing salad. Dishing up chicken and Veggies. Airfryer basket in dishwasher. Steam baskets in dishwasher.
18:00 We eat.
Supper is done. Cutlery and crockery in dishwasher. Dishwasher on.
Relax.
I do take 5 minutes to clean the airfryer element with hot water, a brush with handle and soap every 2nd or 3rd use. If it was very fatty food more regularly
Also to add, because the airfryer is on a timer and you get used to how long your prefer meals take, makes managing with loadshedding SO MUCH EASIER.
If loadshedding is at 6PM. I know if I put a whole chicken in at 5 it will be done. So when EskomSePush send me the 55 minute reminder I quickly pop the food in without stress.
