Philips Airfryer - anyone have?

I mean...

If that were true, your fan oven would do the same job. I think there's value to be had in the way that these air fryers blow the air around.

But I'm too lazy (and cheapskate) to do direct comparisons. If I were a youtuber I'd buy several of them and compare results. But I'm not.
Many Youtubers have done it and no Philips ever rated at the top. So the Starfish airflow is a hoax and does nothing.

Don't tell @epah, it makes him feel better. Placebo effect is definitely a thing.

(Though the starfish might also have something to do with the way the oil / fat drains away rather than the airflow? I'm not sure, I don't own a Philips)

Lol drain away from what? Air fryers have a basket. The fat drains down out of the basket. Starfish can't do anything else, food is not near the starfish

I dunno. Like I said, I don't have one, I was just venturing a guess as to the use.

epah seems to like his though, so don't take away one of his few pleasures. He already needs to suffer with an iphone and a 320d.

Lol says the person whose knockoff is an ornament.
LOL
1 My knock off was 15 years old, was made long before a Philips airfryer existed. So yours are the knockoff.
2 It lasted 15 years before the fan packed up, Philips Chinese shyte last 2-5 years. Mine could be repurposed as a fish tank. your Philips will go to the bin with the other plastics.

It's becoming increasingly clear, having been looking for an air fryer for my mother in the UK, that Philips doesn't seem to compete well abroad, rarely featuring on lists of recommended air fryers.

They prefer the Ninja there for some reason. Not sure why I'd like to clean two baskets.

My OG air fryer has been with me since about 2011 I think. Still doing its thing every week without missing a beat. The inside is a bit moertoe. The nonstick coating is gone.

I wonder if I should get one of these. This is a great price.
'Nuff said.

Maybe because families often like cooking more than one thing at once?

Not everyone lives alone.
Yes, this is the stupidest thing about an air fryer. Mostly you want to do two things in it for dinner and then one is cold by the time the other is finished.
So you decide you want to make a quick dinner in the air fryer, Lets say chicken pieces or some crumbed meat etc. with some chips. Its almost impossible, one is going to be cold and not crispy anymore. And doing in batches also takes the quick dinner off the table.
Getting 2 air fryers is also not an option as they will use more power than your oven.
Air fryers are for single people or to heat up some precooked food. Here and there just to make chips or a single meat dish, but can never replace your oven or stove.
