Philips Airfryer - anyone have?

By far the most inconvenient thing about the air fryer is cleaning the thing up, the XXL is really awkwardly shaped for the dishwasher too, in hind sight I'd probably recommend the smaller ones, especially if you already have a convention oven as your big oven.
Takes a minute with some soapy water. Good luck cleaning a burned pan in that time.

that will obstruct the starfish airflow

takes less than 10 seconds to chuck the pot in the dishwasher, the point I'm making is the smaller ones are more convenient for a dishwasher.
I have no issues using this.

When I first got one I don’t know why but for some reason I just thought the handle comes off easily or isn’t a factor.

The basket itself isn’t so much of an issue it’s the damn handle.

That being said I only really need to wash mine about once a week, whereas the alternative would have been a daily affair.

This thread reminds me of some Apple fanboys. Yes Apple are great but they will not acknowledge any problems or disadvantages.
An air fryer is a hassle to clean, you can lie to yourself but any objective person will agree. Not only the awkward shape with handle, but also they scratch easy and can rust.
Using foil, baking paper or other stuff, nullifies the purpose of fast moving air around your food in an air fryer and then you could just use your oven

I have found a brush on a handle is the best way to go about it and actually skipping the dishwasher entirely.

Soap both inside and outside basket in warm water with a bit of sunlight.

Chuck that out and then brush it down, which makes the mesh much easier to clean as well and then if you really got it greasy wipe the handle part down.

Put it back in and run it for a minute then it will be dry too.

Now if you want to clean the actual air fryer that’s a whole other story. Best way I’ve found to do that is to fill the basket half with water and then run it for a 10min so the steam gets up in its nethers.

Then put a cloth down in the bottom and brush the “roof” liberally. I’ve seen some people saying to turn it upside down but then I reckon you’ll just end up with all the mess inside.

I don't use the air fryer that often but when I do I usually use it at least 3 times before washing it, with certain foods you can't do that without getting a stank. Most of the time I just use it to reheat deep fried foods.

Ya, that handle is a fecking pain.

For me a sign that I'm eating a lot more junk food is me using the air fryer more often.

Just use some elbow grease and this:

Ya'll are lazy.

If the handle of your airfryer is the dirtiest part of it, there's only one conclusion.

You failed to read is the only conclusion.

Go look at the post I replied to and read again with the intention of understanding and it will all make sense to you.

Here’s a hint…the handle isn’t dirty at all.

You could write woke drivel for Disney+

They also blame their audience for their piss poor workmanship.

He complained that it’s awkward to fit the basket in the dishwasher.

I responded that the basket isn’t the issue, so much as the handle making it impossible to fit the thing in easily.

It’s really not that hard, you were just looking for a weird tangent to talk **** and failed to comprehend.
