Philips Airfryer - anyone have?

99% of accessories for air fryers are gimmicks. An air fryer works with hot air circulating the food. Every other thing you put in there, hampers the airflow.
As for meat. If you just want to cook something fast and easy, an air fryer is great. But apart from chicken pieces, most other meat will be cooked better using other methods than an air fryer.

Your air fryer still an ornament?
 
So yesterday bought a new washing machine and while waiting for them to do all the paperwork and getting it from the back I was standing there looking at all the air fryers.
They had all the Philips models. Now I am seriously not trolling but hell. They all have this flimsy little metal bracket holding the basket to the outer basket. It is then pop-riveted to the basket. The whole basket just wiggles around if you touch it. Surely if you place any food with some weight in that basket, that flimsy metal bracket will bend, Not even the cheapest air fryers there was made so poorly. And these things cost 2-3 times the price.
Where they always made like that or is it a new thing? Used an older one at our holiday place a few times but can't remember if it was the same flimsy quality.
 
Air Fryers are a waste of money.

Just toss your meat on a braai along with the veggies - and stop being gay.

I only buy the mesh basket ones with the drawer. They don't look like that. Basket also has support at the bottom. Don't like the new ones.
 
On the subject of build quality, well except for the buttons, Zojirushi induction/pressure rice cookers look very good. Very solid build quality and the rice, is amazing. No seasoning or anything else required. It's so good.

The Philips airfryer influencers on the forum seem to have done their job and I'm seriously considering buying this one. Wondering about their target market with this line: "9L capacity for up to 1.5kg of brussels sprouts". I'm not a vegan cross fitter :ROFL:
