Philips Airfryer - anyone have?

Also bought the logic on Grimspoon's recommendation (thx dude). Cooked a whole bird in it, was very nice. Cant wait to use it again.

Jut to clarify, the Logic also says halogen on the box... The Logic comes with a extender ring to bump up capacity.

I see there is a thread on "Halogen Convection Ovens" : http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/501530-Halogen-Convection-Oven

I just bought the Bauer Halogen Convection Oven today
its on special at OK furnishers for R249
I think it ends tomorrow

Busy roasting some chicken and veggies now, going good so far ;)

Thanks for reminding me. I bought one this weekend at Pnp. They have the white ones going R999.

I was actually going to get the tefal actifry which is on special at dion wired for R1000, then saw the philips for the same price.

I've moved into my apartment and considering a microwave, could this potentially replace a microwave?

They also have the bigger tefal for R1500.

Also read about a new philips airfryer xl model. Bigger capacity and digital/lcd controls. Not sure when it will be released though.

what would be the better make of the two?

They both have their Pros and cons
Philips - smaller footprint, can bake, retractable cord, 2 yr guarantee.

Tefal - no need to shake or turn food, can make stews etc as well, but not so much delicate type foods, timer doesnt turn of heat when it stops.

They work pretty much the same and from what I read it's much of a muchness. I went for the philips because it was the same price and for the 2 year guarantee. Would prob get the tefal if it wasn't the same price.

I would say an air fryer can easily replace a microwave. You could actually heat your coffee up in it if you really wanted to :p

Thanks.

My financial controller wants one - saw the special at Makro - but if its cheaper at DionWired - just need to decide between the two.

@rodga - when/where did you take the photo's? Their website still has it as expensive :p
