Are these attachments worth it? Hoping you can answer based on actual experience.

Asked question ages ago and think answer was no, not worth it.
I'm using the grill one and it's not been changed back to the original mesh. Haven't used the baking pan at all.

He is actually a Philips airfryer door to door salesman. But since lock down started, times have been really tough.
Philips pays me 50c per sale. This gets deducted from my electricity. I assume so anyways, cause since I started using the Philips I realised I save at least 50c a month.

Anyone tried to air fry vetkoek?

What are the secrets? Paint with oil?
I don't know if oil is the secret but, I did rub them each side with the back of a table spoon dipped in oil.. 8 minutes at 180..

Anyone tried the Milex ?

Yes. The halogen oven has done good service and needed replacement, so we opted to give one of these air dryers a go. Don't use it every night but just like the halogen oven it was made to cook chicken :)

Much easier to clean as well.

PS: as an experiment I took a small rump steak, drizzled the oil and...rubbish. Don't that.

Gee wizz the prices on these machines have increased. Glad I got my XL when I did.
It's because there is a global shortage. Have been waiting now for weeks for a replacement but Philips still out of stock.

A bit light on colour but I can believe that it might have tasted the same.

Maybe a full dip on oil would do the job or painting them with oil half way might make the difference.

I ended up not experimenting as I had the oil going anyway.

Thanks will probably only use it for fish and chicken, like my steak on the fire

Yeah, was just a test. On the other hand, cut a pork steak into 2-3cm cubes, mix with oil, 200C for 10 minutes (give it a shake halfway through) and add to stir fry :)

Airfryer is really great.

chicken and pork perfect.
makes really good chips too (I “parboil” the chips in microwave with bicarb).

I am using folded tinfoil as a limited reuse tray. Really helps with keeping clean.
