Airfryer is really great.

chicken and pork perfect.
makes really good chips too (I “parboil” the chips in microwave with bicarb).

I am using folded tinfoil as a limited reuse tray. Really helps with keeping clean.

Doesn't that really disrupt the air flow

Mealie on the cobb paste with Marg or Butter sprinkle a little steers Seasoning. Usually about 8 minutes or longer if you want it crispier I generally peel them off the cob with a spoon ( False teeth) but still enjoyable.

I know. I did the same. :X3:

Maybe a couple of other tips for everyone.
Keeping your Philips XL Clean and some other Tips:

• To clean the Grid and Basket.

Just take out the basket holder and the basket/grid, leave the basket in the basket holder, pour some sunlight liquid in and fill it with very hot water and let it stand. You can then just use the back of a soggy sponge to clean the grid. Very easy!

• To clean your Philips airfryer and fan:

Yes! Your airfryer also needs to be cleaned. Take a torch and look at the element! Sies man!

Get a spray bottle, fill it with some sunlight and water. Put a dry cloth at the bottom to catch the dirt and water. Now use the spray and spray the element and top properly! Let it stand and repeat maybe with clean water (no soap). Dry everywhere you can reach and switch it on for 5 minutes (with the basket in!)

You can also turn your airfryer upside down and use a scrub to clean the element side. Switch it on a again afterwords for 5 minutes (with the basket in).

• The drawer for the Airfryer start to become a bit squeaky and tight over time.

Get a can of Q-20

Remove the basket and grid. Close the drawer. You will notice part of the rail/slider sticking out. Put a little bit of Q-20 in the slots. Magic!!!

• Cheesy and sloppy stuff on the grid (like those fillets with the sauce in):

Put some baking paper on the grid!!

• Instead of brushing food with oil, just put the chips or veggies in the basket, use spray and cook and spray it all!!!

Shake it and spray it, shake it and spray it!

the mother in law did, havent tested it out yet but its much quieter (almost silent) than the xl we have.
Doh should have bought it. Do you guys find the Phillips to be very loud? Had to get rid of an induction hob when I realised its fan was so loud Id stopped using it from the stress!
(Have a cheapo pop corn making same story, hardly ever use it as it sounds like a jet taking off!!)

Air fryers? (Hair driers with insulating box?) Loud or not loud?

Mine definitely makes a noise but if watching TV in the next room do not have adjust the volume at all. Can still stand next to the airfryer and have a conversation. Its surprisingly quiet i would say.
No where near as loud as a hairdryer, not even half as loud.

Counter top ones - currently on a Xiaomi Mi Induction. It's pretty nice, although never got the app to work.
Previous Sulton/Cheapo one was very noisy.

Maybe I do... but so what ... getting annoyed by annoying noises; unless there's a cure, then my solution is to have fewer annoying noises!
EDIT - possibly I have "misophonia"... https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/hyperacusis/

That must be one very kak induction hob. Mine is basically silent in the next room.

The air fryer does make a noise but I wouldn’t call it loud. I reckon it’s no more loud than my thermofan oven, but likely a little more high pitched.

Would have recorded it for you but half of its in the dish washer.

Android? App works fine on my iPhone.

Could be you chose the wrong server location when setting it up, I know some of their products have issues with that.
